After watching only a handful of your videos, I had to subscribe. I enjoy listening to your dissertations. Your explanations are easily understood by the average listener, yet you have an extensive and well studied knowledge base in each presentation. Your speech is easy to listen to, and never grating. Not everyone is made to do what you do, and I'm glad you provide such enjoyable, quality, entertaining, and informative content. Keep up the excellent work. You've gained another subscriber, and an appreciative listener.

Gemini's summarized version:
The video provides a comprehensive overview of the complex relationship between salt and blood pressure. It discusses the limitations of research on this topic, including the challenges of measuring salt intake and the potential confounding factors that can influence study results.
The video also highlights the importance of individual factors in determining blood pressure, such as genetics, lifestyle, and other underlying health conditions. It emphasizes that while reducing salt intake can be beneficial for some individuals, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution and should be considered in conjunction with other lifestyle factors.
Overall, the video concludes that more research is needed to fully understand the complex interplay between salt, genetics, and blood pressure. It encourages individuals to consult with healthcare professionals for personalized advice on salt intake and other health-related matters.

A person can die from sodium deficiency. A person can loose their mind after suffering for several days of sodium deficiency.

if you suffer from high blood pressure consider taking mugwort pwder. This was something people would consume constantly. It helps reduce inflammation among other things.

I went on a very low salt diet several years ago and the result of that after 6 months was HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE… something I had never had in my life! So I would like for someone to EXPLAIN THAT. As a result, I started salting my food again and my blood pressure dropped back down to normal.

Carbohydrates attract 3 times the water per weight. Salt follows the water to be stored. Simple. Cut the carbs lower blood pressure

Crap. My doctor, concerned about my mildly high blood pressure, told me that I should limit my sodium intake to 2000mg a day. You know how hard that is to do? My usual breakfast is almost half that! The trouble for me is: my mother had high blood pressure for years. I could easily have inherited a tendency toward that, so I do want to control it. BTW, Louis Dahl looks like the mad scientist in a bad sci-fi movie. Maybe he was–mad about salt, that is. We need a new, grander, more unbiased, and experimentally valid experiment to decide the issue.

I did a salt deep dive awhile back and what I found is that there has been no peer reviewed studies that have shown any conclusive link. That being said way too much of anything can be bad, even water can kill you.
