i agree w jon, sitting still is terrifying. i used to be a professional (loosely defined) meditator, but now i can't stand silence.
i occasionally try to work it back into my life. i have adhd, i forget.
also, yes mantras are free. do it, it's a great practice. it almost doesn't matter what you say. i use a mala to keep track and for the sensation. but i rarely get through a whole mala anymore. i use a cheap plastic beaded bracelet lol
this is the second time in maybe 2 weeks i've encounted mantras & meditation in a podcast (shoutout emma willmann) so maybe it's a sign. 👍🏼
