Richie Sambora Is Burning Bridges Everywhere

The Hair Metal Guru | June 19, 2026

Richie Sambora has fans talking again after a series of controversial posts on X that have raised concerns throughout the Bon Jovi community. From comments about Jon Bon Jovi to clashes with fans and industry figures, many are wondering what’s really going on with the former Bon Jovi guitarist.

In this video, Ryan and I break down the latest developments, discuss why so many fans are concerned, and share my thoughts on whether Richie has the right people around him during what appears to be a difficult time.

What do you think? Are fans overreacting, or is there genuine cause for concern?

Porque tantos ataques a Richie Richie solo está defendiendo de que aporto tanto en la banda y ahora no le permiten volver Jon lo traicionó yo apoyo plenamente a Richie Jon es un mardito egoísta

I’m still on Richie’s side and I always will be. He wrote the vast majority of those songs, sure Jon’s name comes first but they haven’t written a decent song since Richie left so it’s obvious how important he was to the songwriting.

Anyone things Richie is wrong is crazy and does not know music, Look what happened Jon and Richie were partners, Jon then all of a sudden lets John Shanks come in and take control and change there wholw sound to no gutars soft pop rock , country ballad fest, Richie had no more say he had to leave.

Sambora still behave like he's 25, when all other band members act their age. As good as he is as a song writer and guitar player, but his behavior will destroy the band, and Jon is smart enough to see that.

Richie is absolutely right. Shanks is the biggest problem in that band. Jon doesn't want to change, so it will never get better. Looking back, Bon Jovi always followed trends, but the sound was still there, but now the production is awful, it has no soul. I don't feel anything. I'll only listen again if Jon completely changes direction. That will never happen, he's comfortable with pop music.

Sadly, it seems more and more crystal clear that Jon has made the right decision in not bringing Richie back into the fold.

The man's a trainwreck. I've never been a drinker or partier in any way, but I completely agree with your first-hand experience assessment of what's going on with him.

Jon's a driven guy. He's had enough of Richie's demons. Having said that, I GUARANTEE he wishes the best for Richie and hope he straightens out.

Yep, Jon's voice is shot. But he still draws all those soccer moms by the hoards. And he's capable of staying focused and holding a sober conversation. He's in a stress-free band now and doesn’t have to worry about someone suddenly quitting mid-tour.

    Richie made his bed.

Great take on this you guys. I love Richie and if he was back, I'd pay anything to see them again. But not the current version. I hope maybe this gets enough attention that he gets some help. Hate seeing him like that. I saw a clip of the Billy Corgan thing and I could tell something was off and couldn't bring myself to watch it.
