I'm pretty sure it was found out that Rubio's family actually came to America during the bastista regime and not because of the Cuban revolution but Rubio of course lies about this.

This video is not nearly harsh enough on the US as it should be. Don't compare the two, saying that both governments and models of governing have their own issues as if the US is anywhere near Cuba's level of efficiency. Seriously, how dare you?! Holy shit. You went to Cuba once. There is a reason why their life expectancy is officially higher than the United States. Leeja, I like your channel and have promoted it behind the scenes because I have historically found your videos to be informative and insightful, but you need to cut the shit and stop beating around the bush. You need to stop equivocating, pretending that you are any better than socialists and communists because you actually touch grass and get involved in your community. Yes, there is a place for theory, and yes, it is not acceptable that you go out of your way to avoid using popular diction when describing the fascistic reign of conservatives (Democrats included) and oligarchs in the United States. I am not attacking you with this message; There is a difference between a slap to the face and a punch to the gut. This is intended to literally smack some sense into you because few other people are going to take the time to tell you this. I want you to think long and hard about how you respond to this. I want to see you succeed. I want to keep supporting you and your channel by making sure that your channel looks good, algorithmically, but I cannot do that in good faith unless you can speak about these touchy issues without Red Scare-esque apprehension and oblivion. You should not be referencing Cuban migrants to Florida, the majority of which vote Republican i.e. they vote against their own interests because they believe they are exceptional. That is not representative of Cubans. You are aware of the United State's history of intervention in legitimate democracies abroad. There is no room here for apologetics, say w.r.t. your undervaluation of the US embargo on Cuba. I am not disliking, and I am not demoting your channel. This is just a (hopefully well-received) condemnation.

The reason that I know for the boatloads of Cuban's coming to the U.S. is because Ronald Reagan was going all over the place saying that Cuba has only political prisoners in all their prisons. So Fedel closed all of Cubas prisons and sent them over to Florida. We'll immediately Reagan had to partition Miami (like what the Nazis did in Poland) because the prisoners are murders, rapists, all kinds of horrible people not political prisoners like Reagan claimed.

Don't discount the degree amount that racism and colonialism plays with Cuba and the US. Cuba and Haiti both represent former European colonies that had successful, violent revolutions to throw off the yoke of White European colonization. As such, they both must be made to kowtow to modern neoliberal capitalism, lest they become examples that inspire further revolutionary action.

Yes, make Marco Rubio president of Cuba. Then its people will have freedom, food, and medicine. Meanwhile the United States will have territory that is practically connected to the United States continent by less than 100 miles. It would be preposterous and a serious matter of National Security if China or Russia end up owning Cuba. The reality is Cuba is a huge prize to win!! Cuba has oil, it also has a giant rainforest and is used to produce large amounts of pharmaceuticals coming from it. Heavy fertile soil for growing fruits, vegetables, and crops. The oceans around it are heavily back in time no commercial fishing is allowed. The beaches are primitive but very beautiful, indeed they have some serious resources. It's the largest island in the Caribbean. Or actually thought of as the Hawaii of the Caribbean. Yet the people continue to starve because the regime keeps everything for itself. The people don't even get the medicine or the food they need. Mostly all of the citizens want their freedom for a better prosperity.😮😮😮😮

You have no idea what you are talking about the Cuba people want change. This is why so many Cubans support Trump. People like you are why we won’t see change in Cuba because of your false reporting. I have a bunch of family in Cuba every wants the US to do something. The cuban people don’t speak up because they will get prosecuted so what you see in camera from the cuban media is lies. The Cuban people understand that there is going to be struggle but the Cuba people want change! Stop talking for us !!

I have read extensively about cuban revolution the batista imperialist USA and the communist turn. The thing that i dont like about fiedel is that he turned to stalin and his theory of socialism in one country the worst distrotion of socialism possible. If USA lifts its embargo and USA sees a justful revolution as well. USA is in a deep shit. So is india and europe and the rest of the world. We are struck by imperialism. If and only if the working class of USA and Cuba kick their capitalists and bureaucrats and set up worker soviet can we solve the global crisis of environmental degradation, imperialism, and other problems. Please wake up america we need you otherwise the revolution will fail again.

Back home (in Cuba) we used to think he was a hero, but that’s because we were indoctrinated. As adults, now we know better…Some of us anyway…

I am a native Cuban, I was born in Cuba. I lived there for 33 years. I was a famous musician, but I never had anything, not even a fraction of what I deserved, because in Cuba we are all slaves of the government, and we are not truly masters of ourselves. I left Cuba, leaving my family behind, escaping that slavery, and I was able to bring my family out by marrying and divorcing someone from another country to circumvent the Cuban government's restrictions on them leaving. Today I am free, almost 22 years after leaving there. I left my career as a musician and had to start doing something else, which I am proud of because I am free. It's incredible how many people talk without knowing anything, simply because they visited a country for a week and had experiences that were perhaps orchestrated for them, as the Cuban government often does. They take you to the places they want you to see, and they want you to have the experiences they want you to have. The truth is, when you live there, you are constantly oppressed, you don't have food, you don't have any kind of freedom to speak and say what you think. If you think you're such an influencer or someone whose opinions matter, please seek out opinions from people who actually live there, instead of talking so much nonsense.

I find it hilarious to see all these “ experts “ and “deeply empathetic” people here now that Cuba is the flavor of the week. Let me make something very clear I LIVED in Cuba and had to flee due to the communist regime, right now in off shore accounts the Socialist dictators have around 20 billion dollars sitting there while their people starve and die for lack of basic care, not only did I live that but I send help to people there because their government can’t supply anything to them, is that because of the embargo ? NO ! It’s because no country wants to do business with a country that refuses to pay for goods, Cuba has been taken to court time and time again for lack of pay even when Russia and China have forgiven billions of dollars worth of debt, where’s the embargo there ? You people make me sick, the Cuban government took all the property of my great grandfather a man who worked his entire life just to die dirt poor, then I watched it happen to my grandfather when they took HIS property because he was fleeing the country because of course the house needed to be “distributed to the people” but it ended up going to higher ups in the military, then I watched it happen to my father , they took the house that he built brick by brick because they could. So spare me outrage and the “ American Imperialism is the problem “ you know nothing because you have lived nothing just yesterday two young men were taken to prison over a social media account that critiqued the dictatorship where’s the outrage there ? the screams of torture inside the prisons of Cuba and the cold blooded executions that took place in the beginning of the revolution (to which Che Guevara unequivocally said they would keep doing it in front of the UN btw look up the video I’m not lying) and even after you are deaf and blind to all of it. So please do me and all the oppressed and persecuted Cubans a favor and shut your mouth you never have and never will give a crap about Cuba. And stop using it for clicks, likes and engagement if you are not going to tell THE TRUTH

Let’s make this clear this crisis is all on the US.
Trump increased the sanctions, stopped the oil.
Why can the US go into countries time and time again to so call liberate the people, in Latin America, their liberation was for the corporations as the workers protested poor wages and treatment and the government at the time supported the workers, so the US went in and overthrew the governments in favour of the corporations and Capitalism.
Cuba under Castro did the opposite he supported the workers and kicked out the wealthy.
The US needs to put the Revolution behind them and accept that Capitalism and Communism can co exist.
After all if Canada, EU, Mexico, UK and other countries can trade and have tourism with Cuba the US could to, it just needs to put the fear and hatred of Cuba and communism behind them.

Just think the left wing party good have gotten credit for doing something right for America. But of course the left wing party sat on their asses and did nothing. As a result of the capture of Mudoro. Trump had a good idea what was going to happen around the world. The Democrats are afraid of the outcome of Mudoro being captured. The Democrats couldn't control what went on around the world. Typical scared Democrats. The changing regime in Venezuela and the Middle East are coming. The people aren't going to be slaves to communism anymore.

How about REGIME CHANGE in the USA? What are you doing to overthrow your OWN vicious fascist government? Liberal U.S. petit-bourgeois IdPo intellectuals care more about the TV viewing choices 2:00 offered by VPN national and identity arbitrage than about getting off our social-media obsessed a**ess and getting outside and organizing with someone who might not be a member of our “identity” group never mind seeing past typical “divisions” of Political Party.
Identity obsessed Liberals got to get over ourselves, our meager interest in the capitalist system and our smug confidence in our “moral superiority” and GET OUTSIDE … OFF THE INTERNET … and GET GET ORGANIZING with ALL other wage earning and self-employed people as SOCIALIST anti-capitalist anti-fascist and anti-imperialist, and above all else ANTI-US Establishment political organizers and activists.
Traditional pro-capitalist and pro-democracy movements only support the fascists and imperialists (and ruling class r**ists and p***philes from BOTH parties throughout the Epstein files) all that are repsonsible for ICE, the genocide in Gaza, have destroyed Venezuela’s sovereignty … are aiming to do the same to Iran’s, and to Cuba’s and to countless other countries hiding behind Trump as the face of their political excuse for the economic aspirations.
Fight the rich U.S. ruling class in all its forms. Stop worrying about your consumer choices and identity expression as your primary political concerns. Get out and work together to tear down the fascist and imperialist institutions while building new institutions together with each other.
