Yoda himself never reveals his home world. He comes from an ancient, mystical, secret species. So that would be part of why we don’t know where Grogu came from and why his appearance is such a shock. There is also Yaddle. Some believe they may come from the unknown regions (different from the outer rim, but still mapped unlike dark space). The Sith was originally a race so some suggest the Jedi are also likely a race with a belief that their brought from the unknown regions to the empire. Yoda was born 900 yrs before the battle of Endor (Return of the Jedi). Empire Strikes back was the first movie I ever saw on a big screen, I called it “the Leia movie” and know I wanted to be a rebel when I grew up. That’s why we as a people love star wars bc we are the hero’s and the empire are the colonizers. There are definitely lots of Indigenous coded worlds and races in Star Wars

You're right, their species is never identified. Interesting analysis. What has always puzzled me is how Americans never seem to realize that America is the Empire.
