Red Hoop Talk EP 12: Sheldon Spotted Elk, Northern Cheyenne

Sheldon Spotted Elk is Northern Cheyenne and is a change agent for the child welfare system towards humanity and love. Sheldon has represented children and parents in child dependency proceedings and currently works with Tribal and state courts on child and family issues. Sheldon was recently appointed as a judge on the Ute Indian Tribe Court of Appeals and has also taught as an adjunct law professor. He graduated from University of New Mexico School of Law with a Certificate of Federal Indian Law and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Utah College of Social Work. Sheldon is the proud father of two sons.
