This media stuff was realized in the cable era when old folks started turning on Faux or CNN News and just leaving it on to keep them company. Suddenly the ads for old folk stuff started appearing, and it all went to carp from there… Now you can boil just about anything down to the source of Money & Alga rhythms.

Men have honor. Gentlemen have honor and compassion. Everything else is trivia, mere affectations.

To be a man one become bigger than one’s own self interests. One must be able to set aside personal concerns and do the needful things, the Done things, for the good of all.

Children learn to take care of themselves. Adults learn to take care of everybody.

Let's take a page from History. When the licenses were sold for broadcast TV, the licenses mandated news AS A SERVICE. Once the discovered they could make a profit from "News" TV journalism was doomed.

They need to make advertisements during newscasts illegal.

They need a bipartisan panel to determine if a TV program MIGHT be consumed as "News" and take away all advertising revenue taken in by the programs found to be News masquerading as entertainment. The rotating members of the bipartisan panel are chosen randomly so the members cannot be targeted for bribes, er "donations".

Suppose they want to have advertisers and not be subject to the "Masquerade News" oversight. In that case, they must have a chyron throughout the program "Entertainment ONLY" in Text visible from 25 ft on TV screens larger than 20 inches. A 10 second disclaimer before and after the program would also be required. Each commercial break would have a full-screen text disclaimer which remains on screen no less than 7 seconds, with a QR code for viewers to use which takes them to a policy page listing the criteria for journalism vs entertainment/commentary.

"Alpha males" that use "beta male" as an insult are massively confused on how the Greek alphabet works. If you're going to insult me, call me an "omega male."

Chris, you are spot on, any man who beats his chest and brags that he is an Alpha male is posturing. My first desire is to look under the hood to determine if there is any horsepower. They never pass the test. I have been around for 75 years and spent 5 in the Air Force and have come into contact with some real steely-eyed killers. They are dependable and will not back down. Funny though, they never brought it up let alone bragged about it. Some are pilots who “went Downtown” in an F-105 Thud for 100 missions. I worked for a general who earned the “Badge of Honor”, 100 Mission Patch. He never brought it up, I had to drag it out of him. Same with a Marine Captain who had a team that went out at night to set up ambushes of the VC. I won’t even go into the “Tunnel Rat” I recently met on a trip. If one has to brag about being an Alpha Male it is a good bet that the motivation comes from the reality that no one considers them one.

An increasing number of self-identified "men" are no more than adult-sized children looking for attention in the worst ways. They bear more in common with pigs than anything. Being described as a man is something others bestow on you, not how you need to describe or boast to others about yourself.

For-profit media will not alienate the right by challenging their lies, they need them to come back to the show.

I make a joke out of it, I forgot what happened but I overheard a man talking about how he was a "man" so in moments in which my wife gets mad at me for doing things that I shouldn't be doing, (I've got a few medical conditions, that physically limit me) but if she sees me doing something I shouldn't be doing, I say in a deep sarcastic voice "cause I'm a man" or "I'm a man" and she absolutely hates it but I only do it as a joke.
