I'm late I know. Viewers are numbers to that guy. He doesn't actually understand that there are real people just like him attached to each one.

My question for him in this moment of time years before I'm commenting is: How are gaming streamers not doing the same thing as a reaction channel? Especially the ones that just play through single player narrative heavy games. They're just pressing buttons and reacting to this content made by someone else that was meant to be consumed as a finished product by audiences, not used as a money making tool.

Mind you, reader, I agree with Gabi and believe reactors and gamers aren't doing anything wrong by just sharing the experience of a form of media with their audiences. But I don't see how that guy's logic can see these as different morally.

I remember me and my friends got high on shroom tea and watched flight reactions. We found it so funny he was literally just eating dinner staring at the screen. We were certain he was watching a movie and not even reacting to the video he was watching. He was watching himself react to flight clips like hello??!?!???!?!?!?

Is there a clip of moistcritical reacting to Gabi Belle? Because the only thing I could find was a video from black tank screaming dude and I don't wanna watch that tbh. :/
19:45 ++ He literally said viewers are too dense to understand his arguments. …. I have no words. This was four years ago and I still feel insulted. The wonderful magic of the internet lol

Edit: Oh look. "The Unbelievable Unapologetic Dishonesty Of Gabi Belle" is in my recommended. If he wasn't such a douchecanoo, I would have been a potential new viewer who otherwise never would have heard about the dude. Four years later. From what I've learned about the YT algorythm, having a year old video pushed into peoples' faces is kinda good, right?

10:00. The point is not that reactors make the exact same content, but are able to it quicker than original content creators. It's that they use work completely done by someone, and reupload it and add a fraction of extra effort. They are not producing the same product more efficiently, they are stealing someone else's product and adding something minimal, and selling it as their own.
You are essentially saying that if I sell tv's that I steal from someone who makes them, I deserve my paycheck more than they do, because I produce tv's more efficiently.
It's actually painful how stupid this point is.

Now correct me if im wrong, but most of the time when people react to things, is it not usually something that alot of people have already seen? Alot of things I see get reacted to are things that have already went viral and people are just sharing opinions

The attention and interests of a billion people is not like a pie. Pewdiepie getting 10 million views on a video of him playing with his dog does not mean that you’ve now lost out on 10 million potential views on your video. I don’t understand how anyone can see things this way. It’s like he saw moist critical or whoever else getting 100M views in a month and thinks it means that 10 aspiring YouTubers were deprived of 10M views each that month, depriving them of having successful YouTube careers. That just isn’t how it works.

Most of moist critical’s viewers don’t even give a shit if he lazily reacts to a video. They’re there to watch him because they like him. Obviously some reaction channels are total trash. They just sit there and make a dumb face while videos play in their entirety. That shit should be stopped. It’s not easy to define what constitutes commentary or transformation but you definitely know when something isn’t transformative in the least and Charlie definitely doesn’t post those kinds of videos.

    Damn, wtf?????? Just saw this??

This video is so disingenuous holy shit.
If u had just taken a step back, and realized he wasn't talking about u, and that u weren't being attacked, you might've not made such a trash video.

    Congratulations u lost a viewer🙋🏽‍♂️🙋🏽‍♂️

Also your insulting Danny & Kurtis calling them "react" channels

lol i'm so late to this video, but it's crazy how you can tell exactly who came here from viper's content 💀 i've never seen so many insufferable people in a single youtube comment section before.. anyways love you gabi♡

To further prove your point. One of the top suggestions for me here, on this very video, was an hour and a half long video from Darkviperau, ranting about this exact video. Now, I did just click the three dots and go "don't recommend this channel" BUT STILL!

11:23 – I agree because I watch many people who make content like yours, and because things get popular, they cover it, but I still watch videos on the same topic repeating a lot, but I watch them for the person and for their opinion.

Damn, I just found you and I thought I liked you, but im gonna take a break. You’ve had 3 years to at least respond to these horrible takes. Yes you have to ask permission. Jesus.

    May 9, 2026 at 11:49 am

Can't believe that the comments here were infested by stupid people who only know how to repeat the same thing and being hypocrites, they say a lot that Gabi didn't understand the DV, but they also clearly didn't watched her video to understand her either

You are spot on! Like I would watch Jack Doherty or Boston Mikayla. No. I like watching a few reaction video creators because I like them (you of course!). I have been fed some that are lazy or misogynistic and I can’t watch them. Thank you for this video! I love Charlie! There are a few others I really like too. I don’t know who that idiot with the beard is. Thank God.

I can’t believe a creator could have such a misguided take, see that virtually everyone disagrees, and yet leave the video up without apologizing or taking any responsibility. Why not make a follow-up video acknowledging that you were completely wrong and sharing what you’ve learned, or at the very least, pin a comment? Leaving it as is reflects either a serious lack of integrity or an ego so inflated that the idea of being wrong is inconceivable.

    Ok guys

    Both perspectives are partially correct.

Listen: Matt basically said that if a reaction channel takes basically an entire piece of media and plays it in a video with a giggle or chuckle every once in a while, that is straight up stealing content. The reactor isn’t adding anything to make it worth while watching, so therefore is just stealing views from the original content.

However, Gabi is also right. When a channel deconstructs a piece of media, the new video is entertaining because of the personality reviewing it, not because the content is being indirectly stolen. If anything, it gives the reviewed clip more exposure, because how can it not?

The argument isn’t over “is all reaction okay or wrong?” The argument is at what point does a piece of media go from using content to create new videos to straight up stealing views
