The JW franchise isn’t good. All of the JW movies are bad besides 1. They have good moments of action but overall the exploration of this hitman world is absolutely lame and yes Bley is right the bullet proof suits are incredibly stupid. Everyone should be using swords and blades if you’re making guns almost pointless.

Iron Man 1: Develop a chest piece to power a suit. Develope a better chest piece to power a better suit. Forced to use old chest piece on new suit, power becomes a problem.
Iron Man 2: Further advance the idea that the chest piece powers everything. Build an entirely new chest piece that even impacts the user and makes Tony taste something new. Enforce the fact that Rhodey can take a suit himself and it's also powered by the chest piece that is hidden from Hammer. Hammer only wants Whiplash because he can build a chest piece to power suits…
Iron Man 3: Mark 42 cannot be powered by the chest piece. Needs to be recharged through car battery… Despite the fact that all other suits that join at the end are fully powered by their own chest pieces. 42, the prodigal son returns, and is flying through air without Tony in it, and you can see the chest piece glowing…
Nevermind the fact that Tony in every movie is 1 step ahead, or at least closely following, anyone he encounters. If he ever "loses" he incrementally improves his suits to fix the reason he lost. But in IM3 he decides to threaten a terrorist with a full vault of AI suits, and even regular suits he can wear effectively and are battle tested. Yet decides to take the POC modular suit out to defend his house and leave the others offline….. wtf.Even though the POC modular suit can run sentinel mode and defend Pepper, the house, and Tony…

Bley…STOP! Love Nic Cage but more work doesn't make him better. There are players who play on multiple teams and score 100 points their whole career. Doesn't make them better than Kobe. DeNiro played Max Cady, Fearless Leader, and Frankenstein's monster. A psycho, a Rocky & Bullwinkle villain, and a classic monster. He will go just as far as Cage but he has more acclaimed acting.

My rage take is that Tom Cruise only knows how to act in one way. He's basically the same character in everything he does and it just annoys me. Everyone seems to love him as an actor and I think his way of acting is seriously annoying. Don't get me started on him as a scientologist 🙄

32:40 This is a take I actually agree with, and in fact is true of a good number of actors where they can give even AMAZING "Performances" but they really aren't ever becoming a different "Character" rather they are just more or less the same person just thrown into different roles.
R. Lee Ermey is a fantastic example of this in that he was an INCREDIBLE performer but not an amazing or varied "Actor" per se.

5:35 This is a crazy take when so MANY the "Spy gadgets" are inspired by real life with many of the ACTUAL things created and attempted being even more whacky.
If you don't like the real life inspired gadgets of spydom then you really just want 007 to be the bourne identity.
