I think you’re right about the gerontocracy running the Democratic party. But, you’re overlooking that the leadership of the party, especially in the house and senate, are “moderates” to the point of hating the actual Liberals in the party. Like AOC is great, but she scares the hell out of the “moderates” in Congress.

You got it backwards. Kamala made the case a woman should not be president, she was horrible and afraid of her own shadow. The first one will be a Republican woman.

I’m a 57 yo white male Independent that has voted twice for a woman president. This country needs a woman president, we would be much better off if we did.

Eww, party politics talk… I'm new here but this is the first turn off of a topic.

Party politics is theater, has been since JFK, only perfected now… This is end game, destruction from within by the same forces that off'd JFK, and likely Charlie Kirk. The Dulles Brothers and Reinhart Gehlen founded intelligence community.

If, and this is a big IF, but IF there are future elections, as is and at this rate, they will be predetermined.

    Period.

We could debate the method, but stay high level, they will be as trump deems, else they will be illegitimate.

And when Tyler Robinson gets his Not Guilty verdict, from some Libtard judge, (insert 25million MAGA simps gasping), bye bye miss American pie, drove our judicial system out back and, disposed of it and that Libtard judge… Them good ol boys were drinking whiskey and rye, singing this'll be the day that I die…

I knew a Mormon family growing up. They were what we called Jack Mormons? The mother smoked cigars and had a drink once in awhile. That's what I thought all Mormons were like until I started following Amanda Rae of the Kingston clan. YIKES!

Racism and sexism played a part in getting Trump elected , yes, but there's a lot more to it than that – please don't dumb it down to just those two things.

If Biden had stepped down, a proper primary been had, and the Dems had clearly shown focus and results on cost of living issues, they probably would've won. I thought Harris did a very good job with the little time she had…but it wasn't enough, especially when she didn't indicate she would do anything different from Biden.

Ageism aside Schumer has got to go. As do members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. Grassley, Foxx, (as much as i like him) Sanders, ect. Get some young people in there that have a real stake in the future.

We have to get rid of the neoliberal donor class in the democratic party. Only then can we truly begin. Because the leaders of the party STILL have not endorsed Mamdani. Even to this day.

Soooo I'm all for women supporting women (yay!) and she seems a nice lady and all, but I watch you guys for legitimate news op/ed. What does "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" have to do with anything being discussed previously in the show? It was very jarring to go from talking about very real and serious talking points to some rando reality TV show. Perhaps a separate video for those interested? I don't know. It was just odd to me. Not a big fan (not to yuck anyone's yum).

"…would not vote for a woman…" I'm going to suggest that that is code for "…would not vote Democrat". It is my impression that centre-right (or far-right!) parties tend to be the first to break this taboo in a country. That is to say where the woman isn't taking over for her husband or father, as in Sri Lanka, Argentina, India and Pakistan. So Margaret Thatcher, Giorgia Moroni. And, nearly, perhaps, Marine Le Pen, in her case partly despite that she's her father's daughter.

If the candidate who won took off their helmet and was revealed to be a woman, I know exactly what would happen. Republicans would immediately claim that there had been a bait-and-switch, using a man in costume to campaign and then substituting a woman when “he” won. They will say no way a woman was that smart. In fact, they’ll use that claim to say a man came up with the plan itself, EVEN THOUGH, AS A WOMAN MYSELF, I DID.

It’s a sad thing to have to say that America is not ready for a woman president, but it had to be said, and it is probably best said by you two. Personally, I don’t think it’s ready for a present of colour either. Obama was essentially a fluke because the Republicans had done so badly with Bush Junior that any Democrat was going to win the election. But look what the backlash has done to American Society.

I also don’t think America is prepared to elect a progressive as president. The Democrats have to be careful who they choose as their next candidate because the Republicans cannot be allowed to have another president elected when Trump leaves office.
