Favorite movie and book genre's? :3c

I don't think you can "shed" privilege. I was born white, I only know what it's like to lead the life I've led so far, and even though I've seen and heard and tried to make myself aware of what being in a racial minority is like, even though I grew up surrounded by more black and asian people than white kids, I'll probably never have that experience in my entire life. I can maybe associate the difficulties linked with being black to the ones I've experienced being a bi woman, only it's not the same thing, is it? Some problems are similar, but most are completely different. I don't think you can really compare them.

So I think the only thing you can do, when you have privilege and you're aware of it, is a) to listen, and b) to use your privilege to get other people with the same privilege to listen, too, like sharing and saying "hey, this person's interesting." Also c), call out abuse of privilege when you see it. It just feels like such a losing battle at times – be it with racism, sexism or homophobia…

How do you deal with people who can't take criticism?

Yeah, your music tastes and mine are pretty much the same. Although I generally have preferences with genre (eg. I'm not really into dubstep all that much and I like a lot of Rock music) and i do like some metal. Basically I prefer metal when the singer actually, well, sings instead of screaming or doing death growls for the whole or majority of the song.

I have a question, do you ever get irritated with all of the questions related to race? (I bet you've lost count of how many times you've been asked about white people with dreads) What question have you not been asked yet that you'd like someone to? Or is that cheating 😛

Is there any kind of graphic art that you like in particular?
