great program, those book readings….but maybe actual programs to prevent those from becoming desperate criminals (not mistakes) might be better for the kids!

Wow I am a retired youth worker of 30 years . I see this as a great program. But these women need to make that choice to change ! They are the ones with the power!

I feel bad for the kids of drug traffickers but I feel even sadder for the parents who have lost children to drugs

That’s nice thst everyone says “they would never….” Sounds good. But that’s not reality, we don’t know the choices they had to choose from, what they were gonna lose, and or gain. And not one person will understand why skmeone else made this choice that seems obviously “”wrong”
Not one person wakes up in their life, and says “oh I think I’ll be a drug addict…oh I think I’ll be homeless today”
The pain and hurt the boy was because they took. Him from his mother, while he was talking on the phone, says everything!! Children want their mother, regardless if that means their surroundings are different then everyone else’s, they want the safety of their mother. This program is giving them that opportunity.
For all the mothers I’m proud of you all, and you’re doing amazing, keep your heads up!!

I’m not doing anything deliberately that will keep me away from my children. 13 years?! She’s basically missing their entire childhood. And at some point, they’ll also want very little to do with her too. I love my freedom way too much… not worth it

Then don't do the crime then think about your kids you should have thought about your kids before going to do a crime the only ones that suffer and are victims are the kids

I have no sympathy for the mother incarcerated for drug trafficking. She is solely responsible for removing herself from her children’s lives. I do feel horrible for the kids.
