Sorry seems to be the hardest word.

I know it’s been 10 years, but how I read it now is that Bieber does actually have regrets but his pride doesn’t allow him to express it sincerely. Because he can’t let go of his bravado, any attempts to reconcile with the other person makes him sound like a douchebag. As for whether that was intended, probably not, but it’s a lesson to all men that if they want to right their wrongs, they have to let go of the parts of them that caused the wrong in the first place

Justin beibers vocals on this song are super good but I thought the “hook” or whatever you want to call it is just awful and ruins the song

It's funny, you played samples of my two favorite Skrillex songs (yes, I am posting this in 2024) and while this is a really good beat by him it's actually less to my liking than his older stuff.

Sorry (Not Sorry) would unironically make the song seem a lot better, because at least it would be up front that he doesn't mean anything he's saying, and maybe even come off as a parody of apology songs. Hell the tone of the song and the tone of his voice already make it sound sarcastic!

I will forever feel bad for them as a couple (Selena and beiber). He was obviously way too immature, but then again. His childhood was obviously interrupted. But then again… So was hers. But it's not like the world was nice to either of them.
But this album with forever be a bop. Even tho it sounds aged now. A bad boyfriend exploring his own behavior with a semi-critical eye. In hindsight, this moment of self reflection obviously worked out for him. And she is very happily with someone else. But its just sad that any of us have to run into each other when we are half-cooked and not ready for prime time
May he make great bops again that aren't Yummy, may they both find happiness in this life, and may they both craft more great music for us all forever. Prayers up that he will not go the way of Justin Timberlake, slowly petering into nothing forever, and that we can all grow from our mistakes.

It's quite impressive that Justin Bieber has actually managed to have a relatively long career.

It isn't surprising that he keeps finding new ways of making himself into a unlikeable asshole.

I mean…Justin did not write this song. It was mainly Julia Michaels and bloodpop. He’s credited as a writer, but so is Britney Spears on all of her songs and she can barely read.

I always thought the music video worked a lot for the song's success because a bunch of basic casual-styled good-looking girls dancing their asses off was not just a very viral thing in that era but it also felt like a way of making it look like Justin was still popular within the girls. It retained his image while showing a bunch of women seemingly genuinely vibing to him

its interesting to hear todd talk about where are u now as if its weird that its popular. Being from the uk i always kind of assume the americans are listening to the same things we're listening to, but in terms of electronic music, we in the uk just listen to way more of it.

This is probably one of my favorite forms of angry Todd. It’s not forced to fit in with the TGWTG crowd and feels genuine cause Biebers probably one of the biggest douches in the pop music world.
But my favorite was him talking about Memories by Maroon 5

This song is weird to me because isn't just the word "sorry" a traditionally-Canadian stereotype? Well, I guess this goes to show that you shouldn't believe every stereotype.

So this song has an amazing instrumental but repulsive lyrics because Beiber is a little shit.
There's another song I know called "I'm Sorry I'm Sorry" that has a really awesome instrumental and lyrics that are repulsive in an entirely different way.

The difference is that you are supposed to be horrified by the lyrics of I'm Sorry, I'm Sorry. That was the intention of that song.

I think the reason why people like this song is because they KNOW it’s an insincere apology. Bieber’s hate and controversy was his image at the time and people tend to like songs that lean into the artist public persona.

    Let's seeee….

    R. Kelly has now been found guilty of eight counts of sex trafficking and one of racketeering in a New York court and will be sentenced in May. Kelly is separately facing trial in Chicago on child sex images and obstruction charges. He is also due to face sex abuse charges in Illinois and Minnesota.

    Wow…

    And, now the Bieb

    • June 2020, Bieber was accused of sexual assault by an anonymous woman, merely known as "Danielle", who claimed on Twitter that the singer had made non-consensual sexual acts at a Four Seasons hotel in Austin, Texas in March 2014
    • July 2017, the Chinese government banned Bieber from performing in China
    • June 2014, a video emerged of a 15-year-old Bieber telling a joke about black people, which used the word "nigger" multiple times.[383] In the same month, a second video showed a 15-year-old Bieber giggling as he croons his song "One Less Lonely Girl", but parodying the main lyric as "One less lonely nigger", and stating that if he were to kill one, he would be "part of the KKK".
    • September 1, 2014, Bieber was arrested and charged with assault and dangerous driving near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario, after a collision between a minivan and Bieber's all-terrain vehicle on August 29. Ontario police said that he then "engaged in a physical altercation" with an occupant of the minivan.
    • August 13, 2014, the January DUI case was settled with a plea bargain; Bieber pleaded guilty to resisting an officer without violence and a lesser charge of driving without due care and attention.
    • April 2013, Bieber was criticized for writing a message in the guestbook at the Anne Frank House which read, "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber."
    • accused of reckless driving in his neighbourhood in 2012, and charged in Brazil with vandalism in 2013.[356][357] One of his neighbours in Calabasas, California, accused Bieber of throwing eggs at his home on January 9, 2014, and causing thousands of dollars of damage…..

    Not even close…

I'm thinking R. Kelly would make the "Bieber" kneel so he could piss in his mouth…

"Can we both say the words, and move on from this?"

What words? The words "I", "am" and "sorry"? Those words? WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOUR FANS SORRY ABOUT??? It's YOU fucking up!

It's like getting drunk, crashing the car, and telling the people you hit "Can we both just say sorry and move on?"
