I'm still shocked that even after becoming a pop diva, it still took Taylor over a decade to leave a country label. Not only did Big Machine release Taylor's first few albums, but they also released "1989" and "Reputation".

Lock Taylor Swift in a room and she writes a boring song about her lamp, is the problem. Lock TMBG in a room and that lamp is a neurotic night light that’s jealous of lighthouses, worried that you don’t like him as much as he likes you, and concerned about the Argonauts.

I remember my mother bought this album for me and my sister when it first came out. We were around 10 and 8 respectively. We would play it all the time in the car. I remember liking the entire album, but this song was the only one I would skip when I was in control of the radio. I didn’t hate it or anything, I just found literally every other song on the album more appealing. I just found something off about this song and only now as an adult watching your videos do I understand why.

11:01 "22 seconds" Was that intentional?

13:31 Lorde went on to work with Jack Antonoff, so that "bleachers" joke aged really well. The part after that predicting what she'd sound like in five years, however, did not.
