One of the worst-aged Todd observations is how “Superbass-Nicki isn’t the real Nicki”. Whatever you think about her (and I dislike her public persona as of late), Super Bass was a cultural reset, and changed the landscape of pop and hiphop. Like, who cares if it was “authentic”, she was amazing at it.
The best response to this song I ever came across was a joke cover which rewrites all the lyrics so the song is a short instructional treatise on the natural history of the South American anaconda.
