It is sooo well thought out. I like that the lights can be adjusted. At the store I thought they were too bright making it difficult to see the labels. But now they’re perfect. And when the lights are blinking I feel like they’re indicators of what’s going on, rather than “omg! the freggin lights are BLINKING like crazy!” Also I like how elegantly the saving of presets is implied. Being able to store the preset you’re working on into a temporary memory, then look for a slot where you want to put it by going through the existing patches, auditioning them and then just dropping the preset when you find where you want it to go – wow! This was done by someone who truly enjoys designing patches. The Mod Matrix is an art work of engineering UI/UX.

Saw this video some months ago and after seeing it and then watching many, many videos on it, started to drift into a low level despair that I would never own one. Then one came up in Adverts at a very reasonable price and I panicked and put an offer on for pm even though I still couldn't afford it at that price. Thankfully the guy was willing to wait and so I sold my Hydrasynth, Blofeld and MPC One to fund it. And now … I am the happiest person who ever lived! Just reading the manual for this is infinitely more interesting than pretty much anything else I can think of.
