    I’ve played through PKM Blue all the way through with each starter and I never noticed it being easy, med, or hard mode… I just knew Charmander made the first two gyms harder (which they nerfed in Leaf Green/ Fire Red by making it learn Metal Claw once evolved I think…) but there’s a lot of gameplay after that. Once you hit Lt. Surge and that annoying Raichu maxing out Double Team it’s pretty even since by that point you can have a semi-well rounded team. I wonder if in the game it made the stats of the gym (and Elite Four) Pokémon better or worse based on the starter chosen.

    Love the different pokemon experiences! Born in 88 and I have never played the game or collected cards (other than the holographic vaporeon a crush gave me in the 7th grade) but LOVED the anime! I wanna play red and blue some day but keep putting it off lol. On and off with pokemon go and my trainer code is 227684123452 if anyone cares🤪

    I love that this was really just a review of Red and Blue, which I grew up on as well haha. Also, insane that we all have this space in our head filled with knowledge about which trainers had which pokemon and what routes they were on…
