still sounds so fkn dystopian to me that you cant go to therapy because of financial struggles, in my country thats basically never an issue, most of the time its covered by insurance and if not (and you aren financially stable enough) local government will give you money monthly to cover the insurance costs

this is so odd to see as early 2010s was my beatles/hendrix listening to records phase that i never grew out of. I watched so many minecraft youtubers and roosterteeth into college but my peak cringe was reading the outsiders and wanting to dress like 1950's greasers to be cool.

Tumblr was such a curse and a blessing at the same time. It felt so good to feel seen (as a mentally ill , bisexual young adult) after growing up in a predominantly Catholic area… To the degree that Tumblr & Glee were the only reason I learned about bisexuality in the first place …
But the romanticization of suicidal ideology on Tumblr is REAL. In grade 12, I literally thought that everyone at least somewhat wanted to die. And you know, if I could hide the physical evidence, so could everyone else..

Dodie's friend and collaborator, Orla Gartland has a song about thinking someone is so perfect you want to be them! The song is called "More Like You" if you haven't heard it, you may relate! Or, you may recognize the thought patterns your younger self may have had.

collab channels died but revived as collab podcasts somewhat. I've seen so many youtuber podcasts being started, a lot of them have died out though, but i know "sci guys", "shut up im talking", & more im forgetting the names of have been ongoing for a bit

god i learned more about myself in these 25mins where youtube had this playing in the background while i was driving than i have in 25yrs

this video made me feel like i was rewatching my life as a movie. all the mistakes, the highs, the lows, the crushes, and victories of every single phase of my life to this point. i still don't know what i'm doing, but at least thanks for reaffirming that change is okay.

i remember seeing one of your really old yt thumbnails when i was younger and thinking that it was cringe so i didn't watch it, fucking decade or so l8r its creator makes a video that impacted me in more ways than one

    funny how life works.

    thanks for making this
