AGGRO : ROCK NEWS

Paul Di’Anno, RIP

Metal Pilgrim | April 14, 2026

The legendary Iron Maiden vocalist Paul Di’Anno has passed away today. And no, as much as I’d like it to be, this is not just some clickbait news. This is unfortunately true.

I just got out of the chat with Paul’s manager Stjepan Juras, who has been taking care of Paul Di’Anno for the last couple of years. And sadly he did not only confirm this news, but also said that he’s already working on the funeral. And despite whatever some people have been saying online, this has actually come as a huge shock for everyone close to Paul Di’Anno and everyone who has worked closely with the legendary vocalist lately.

But at least Paul, who as we all know have been traveling quite heavily lately despite his condition, passed not on the road, but in his home in Salisbury, England at the age of 66 years old.

Just weeks before he was supposed to kick off yet another European tour and perform the Iron Maiden classics in front of his loyal fanbase around the globe.

Despite being troubled by severe health issues in recent years that restricted him to performing in a wheelchair, Paul continued to entertain his fans around the world, racking up well over 100 shows since 2023, said Paul’s label Conquest Music in their statement.

The first 2 Iron Maiden songs I heard were 2 Minutes to Midnight and Children of the Damned which were obviously Bruce songs but it wasn’t until I heard Phantom of the Opera from their first album with Paul that I truly became a fan and dove into Iron Maiden’s catalog. Thank you for the great music Paul and being the true 🐐 your influence on the band and other bands won’t be forgotten RIP

Man I wanted so much to go see Paul perform.
His era of Iron Maiden brings back so many memories that I can't hear any of it without feeling some kind of way about it.

Wanted to see KISS on September, 20th, 1980 in Dortmund, Germany and didn't know a thing about their 'support' that evening…it was IRON MAIDEN with the very young Paul Di'Anno and to watch 'em entering the stage, unleashing true Heavy Metal Power just changed my life forever…THIS was the sound me and my brother wanted to hear, and Hardrock was buried…still only into the first Maiden stuff, without Paul they'd lost the raw, unpolished edge and the true underground art of rebellion…those who share my opinion will remember Mr. Paul Di'Anno forever !!! May you find peace now…

Paul Di'Anno dead? 💔💔 I thought his health was on the turn for the better after knee Op?

Let me guess, died in October after a short UK (corporate Britain) v@©©ination programme (because he was vulnerable and needed such interventions?), sorry I mean, "short illness". FFS!!

Last time I heard him, he was going for it, turning it all about. But dont get ill in the UK.

Loss of a great singer, key part of my youth and introduction to heavy metal bands.

    Im gutted.

    RIP Paul and Clive🙏🙏🙏

R.I.P Paul and thank you for the soundtrack to our lives. Your music was always the gauge that all METAL is measured. Forever at the top of our playlists for us 80s kids and for all generations following.

Back when i was young i preferred Bruce over Paul. But now it is the other way round, every Bruce song is so similar whereas Paul had so much variation in his voice. My favourite song is Strange World.

    RIP Paul.

His maiden band members SHOULD HAVE FINANCED HIS MEDICAL NEEDS!!! Bruce is net worth over 100 million. I would have paid full price to save Paul but that’s just me. Paul was out trying to raise money to save his life and that to me is a crying fk’n shame.
