It's actually the pesticides that are illegal in Europe.

I love that we can apply this to pretty much all the conspiracy theories 😂

2:34 Italy makes certain products for other countries using different flour… Russia proved the same product but their variation had a different types of flour.

Just because something is being imported here from another country absolutely does not mean that it's the same product that is actually being sold and consumed in that country. I had a client once that was telling me about their trip to Spain or Italy (can't remember which) and they enjoyed a certain wine so much that they ordered a bunch and had it shipped here. Turns out that even though it is the "same wine" it absolutely was not the same wine because the US FDA requires nitrates to be put into the wine and so this wine was actually altered and changed and had things added to it to be sold here. My sister lives in Spain and has experienced the exact same thing. Same as how Guiness beer here is not the same as it is in Europe. The food is different and is making millions of people very sick.

Is durum semolina different from white flour?

No – flour is poisoning you – whether it is enriched or not is irrelevant in the scheme of things

Well I mean, humans are carnivorous and shouldn’t be eating any kind of flour.

Well it's more about bread? Right? From what I've heard? Maybe fresh pasta to a certain extent.
I don't think any podcast has made any claim about dried pasta specifically?
The skit seems quite confused.
Again it's mostly about baked products, which in the Western world are highly corrupted. Much less so on a general basis in the continental EU where more independent bakeries still supply small towns and villages.
In the U.S standard bread (supermarket bread) is/can be full of sugar, oils and enriched flour – which is often bleached – the 'enriching' process artificially adds back in nutrients that have been stripped from the product initially. It's really rather
terrible and yes eating a lot of this type of highly processed carb is extremely unhealthy vs. say a simple real sourdough bread or just standard fresh bread with three ingredients.
It gets worse when we talk about pastries which in continental EU are often from an actual bakery, again using only a couple of ingredients. In the US and highly industrialized countries these type of baked good almost always come from factories. Those factories almost universally strip the nutrients from flour and add oils, sugars and other synthetic ingredients, this "food" is highly processed and engineered for longevity and shelf life.
This is what the podcasts are talking about and they're correct.

While you have a point, enough people have done A/B testing to where there is something to the claims. Maybe everyone doesn't feel it, but you can't just drench your food in toxic pesticides and expect there to be no residual damage.

Why do you blame big flour? You should blame leftist politicians who want to over regulate our lives in every way imaginable.

Enriched grains are Sooo important for general public health. They made a massive difference when introduced.

You're making fun of a serious issue; which is the use of pesticides and glyphosate in North America, where as Italy and the EU have stricter rules. Pesticides and glyphosate contribute to much more than just bloating or heart burn, etc. The build up can be deadly. You are blessed to be earning a living doing what you enjoy, with such a large following. You can still create good content and educate people, or at the very least, don't make fun of something and pretend it's a conspiracy. You have a responsibility with a following like that.

What you mean when Colonialist cut down the food forest of Perennials like Oak trees ect. that feed everyone and build up good dirt verses Annuals like wheat/soy that deplete the dirt and require planting and work every year and dumping all kinds of poisons on the ground to run off ect. Look it makes no good logic if your trying to make a good food supply. It makes perfect logic if your trying to control peoples food in order to control people.

I mean… That's what pesticides are, right? Literal poison, to kill bugs and vermin and some other types of plants. It's not a stretch to imagine eating that every day could potentially, eventually, have an impact on our own health, over time. That was confirmed to be the case with that Agent Orange stuff that the USA originally used as a war weapon, before it started getting marketed for use on crops. Last I read, the only country that didn't ban it's use on food was USA, but that was just one brand of one product that we didn't find out was causing serious health issues until we'd all been eating it for ages!

As someone who is allergic to corn and who has the mthfr gene mutation (2 snps), I cannot eat US wheat. Folic acid (as opposed to methylfolate) is not healthy for someone like me. Plus a lot of that "enrichment" is corn derived….

It's actually true that they have better gluten in Europe though, there are scientific studies that verify it
