    "China" is such a convenient boogeyman. Folks, once these dheads Trump Musk Altman Bezos have their big expensive all-knowing computer brains, who do you think they're gonna use it to screw over? China? Russia? Venezuela? Nope. YOU. They're gonna use it to screw YOU and get even richer. "China" is not who we need to be worried about.

    As someone who was very hyped about AI back in 2022–2024, I just can't wait for the whole industry to go down in flames. There are some uses for the current AI technology, but they are niche and don't require trillions of dollars.

    As a Russian I'm surprised to hear Sam Altman mention Putin's speech about AI given the fact that Russian AI is basically non-existent (like the EU one).

    That alledged Putin quote is true, though, at least, if AI turns out to be what scammyboi claims it will be. And he wants to ensure it will be him controlling the world. Not a rival nation, not any nation, HIS corporation it shall be.
