i loved 90-00s edgelord music at the time and i still enjoy the sound of nu-metal and it's adjacents bc i was raised with it but i could never ever get on board w crazy town. the singers voice just sucks so damn much to listen to. not that most of these guys had smooth or nice voices, but even in comparison i feel like they lacked character and weren't not-annoying enough to get away with that. im sure there's a lot of reasons they never got anywhere despite all the big name friends but imo it's a simple lack of sauce

RIP Shifty/Seth Binzer. I had my own addiction struggles for 3 decades so I have nothing but sympathy for him. None of us chose to be addicts but sadly if exposed to these substances we are powerless to stop it taking hold and wrecking our lives or killing us! I lost SO many friends over my decades of struggle but to anyone out there presently struggling with addiction please NEVER give up on giving up. It WILL click on day and you WILL be free, just keep trying and don't beat yourself up when you fail.

It could be sung in Simlish, and that beat+riff will still bang hard.
Its a garbage song with unmatched vibes(of the era).
Also: Richard Cheese would probably qualify if you bend the rules. He had a 'hit' song from the 'Dawn of the Dead' remake movie, Disturbed's 'Sickness'.

I know that Nu Metal as a genre kinda sucks, but goddammit if I don't love Linkin Park's first 2 albums. Also System of a Down, but do they really count as Nu Metal?

“Revolving D’oh” desperately needs Homer Simpson spinning in their video 😂 EDIT: Ohhh! It’s ”Revolving DOOR!” Yeah, that makes more sense- at least as to why Homer isn’t in the video! 🤣

I actually like the song and I only listen to RAP, it's different somehow it's catchy. I think Will I AM said to make a band and that's how they formed.

"you'd think it would help" it did help. It's the only reason this album has a pop hit on it and it's the reason shifty was on that rehab reality show. If it weren't for those connections with djam and the peppers, this would have just been another forgettable, half hearted numetal album from a half hearted, forgettable los angelos "band".

If nothing else, maybe this song will make you check out the RHCP album "Mother's Milk," which is where the sample is from. The song is called "Pretty Little Ditty," (more or less just a duet between Flea and John Frusciante with a trumpet part thrown in) and the album as a whole is one of their best.

Oh Todd, we will never see eye to eye on the artistic merits of nu-metal

But I can agree that this song is fun and pretty much everything else Crazy Town made was wack as hell

One of my favorite movies is Something's Gotta Give so when I think of this song I think of a late 60s Jack Nicholson monologue about how hot younger women are while this song plays over a montage of different 20 something women clubbing.
