As a fan of Eurodance (particularly Italian Eurodance), listening to Eiffel 65's later albums made me a legitimate fan of them. Their second and third albums (Contact! and their self-titled album) are honestly fantastic. I used to hear the chorus as “I’m blue, if I were green I would die” at first, to add to the incomprehensibility of the chorus, btw. The song is a hot ass mess but it’s a mess I claim
The alien's music video looks like a failed pitch for a children's TV show set to something you would have bought as a ringtone back when people bought ringtones.
In 2025 Gabry Ponte of Eiffel 65 came last in the Eurovision grand final for San Marino. He tried to represent Italy but lost out to someone much better so he turned to tiny San Marino who scooped him up.
It's hard watching thirty Todd In The Shadows videos in one day and being a Eurodance and Nu Metal enjoyer, but god his passionate distaste is hilarious
