Every song hits different when Noel sings it. I love Liam’s voice, but I don’t know man, when Noel sings there’s something about his voice and the way he sings that make the songs more intimate and meaningful maybe cause he wrote them or maybe it’s just that he feels them on a more deeply and personal level

I was never much of an Oasis fan and didn't know either of the Gallagher brothers were still releasing music. When I heard "Dead to the World" playing in a TV show its dreamlike melancholy immediately grabbed me and I sought it out after the episode ended. I was surprised to learn it was by Noel Gallagher.

It's very rare I come across an album I can listen to in its entirety and enjoy every song. This is one of the few. I only discovered it a few days ago and I'm hooked.

i think i fell for this song within 15seconds of hearing it. it was perfectly placed inside and episode of a sci-fi series. the string arrangements the accordion and that vocal delivery is everything. i went and hunted down the group and got the album. it's the perfect melancholy theme song. i love it. thanks Justin for giving it some air time.😍

Noels voice is the only voice that would work on this song. If Liam did it, the song would be totally different and not as good. Their voices are very different and don't work on every song.

Could I just take a moment to thank you for your work sir? The Darkness were a huge part of my college years/early youth. To this day I still listen, remembering the monumental nights, and the darker moments. As someone who has unfortunately suffered with mental health issues for some time, The Darkness to this day are still one of my happy places where I retreat to, alongside Ghostbusters.

Your work has saved my life several times over, and I will be eternally grateful, especially as I am in the middle of rebuilding a better life now that I have found my purpose again.

    Thank you so much.

Your talent is under appreciated, but I hope you can take away at the very least that you and the boys legitimately have saved my life.

I've always liked Oasis songs but never was a "fan" of the band and I realised it's because I can't stand Liam's voice. I really, really like Noel's music and voice.

That string motif in the verses is 'borrowed' from a song called Sajanna by a duo called Badmarsh & Shri. It's a good lift, no drama. And this might be my second favourite Noel song (after Holy Mountain)

Growing on me is my favorited song. My mates said its about an STD. That may be but I always saw it channeling the first burst of optimism, that accompanies true love. OH, the guitars fucking rock on that track too
