Hello there. As they expand their library of streaming content, Disney has been absolutely churning out streaming shows tied to some of those most popular characters and franchises. After series like The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, the House of Mouse has now released a show about who is arguably one of the most well-known Star Wars characters- Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Obi-Wan Kenobi raises a lot of questions though. Like how did Obi-Wan intend to protect Luke without keeping up his training in any way? How did Reva know that the powerful Bail Organa would reach out to Obi-Wan instead of his network of people? How is killing a bunch of Jedi a good way to get revenge on the guy who killed a bunch of Jedi? What was up with that weird laser fence scene? How did making a fire help Obi-Wan escape from Vader, who had just started a fire of his own? Why would Obi-Wan leave Darth Vader alive?

    I know this is old but one thing that bothered me was Reba or whatever her name is even making it to be an inquisitor in the first place. If you’re weaker than someone in the force by a good margin that person can read your thoughts, know your intentions, basic synopsis of the weaker persons life if need be…. Vader, other inquisitors, ect would have invaded her mind in training and Reba would have been corrupted fully or killed… her being able to even be in the show as a one foot out the door dark sider is bullshit…. Also if anybody thinks that maybe there was a catalyst to her changing her tune after training or in the show: there’s nothing to suggest it. She simply girl bossed her way through and fooled everyone even Vader 🙄

    I am so ashamed that I ever thought Disney getting control of SW would be a good thing.

    Mr. Lucas, I sincerely apologize for the implied insult.

    On the other hand, we do have two season of Andor, which legit is one of the greatest things ever created.

    Reva is basically if a Jewish person joined the Nazis to one day kill Hitler for the Holocaust. But Reva also participated in the Holocaust making her exactly the same as the people she criticizes.

    "We're gonna have a scene where Darth Vader walks through the village tearing it apart with his force powers, killing villagers!" "Oh really?" "Yeah, we're gonna see him snap a kid's neck with the force…" "He can do that?" "Yes sir!" "Well if he can snap necks with the force why doesn't he just do that all the time?" "I dunno…" "I mean, why even bother with lightsaber battles at all if he can just snap your neck at any time?" "Sir, do you want to see lightsaber battles?" "I do!" "Then I'm going to need you to get all the way off my back about this." "Ok, let me get off of that thing!"

    If cruella can end with cruella not turning into cruella, I don't see why obi wan can't just kill darth vader before A New Hope even happens

    There's a lot about this show that i really did not like. To point out just a few
    Obi-Wan wouldnt have stopped training.
    Obi and Vader should never have met again till the events of ANH.
    I hated the character of Reva and her parkour on roof tops and somehow managing to survice being impaled not once but twice with a lightsaber.
    Having Obi play second fidle in his own show.

    This show could have been great with the right writing. Such a shame as i really like Ewan as Kenobi.

    I think in the 80's we all wished for more Star Wars. Especially a back story of Obi Wan Kenobi. Cool weapons and powers equals badass adventure, conflicts and story, right? I mean the Jedi had adventures correct? No, we didn't realize all Jedi are chaste, condescending, arrogant, creepy, emotionless monks. The way they were imagined they were some of the worst film characters to follow. Let's watch as they…….meditate. See them condescend to (each other, aliens, slaves, bad guys). See them…..talk to each other in a monotone. Even Samuel L. Jackson was boring.
