The fact Nvidia even responded to a substack shows they are scared about something. They would have entirely ignored it if michael was flat out wrong.

Btw im not some Michael Burry fanboy. People see a movie and suddenly they love him. He got one big crash right and about 50 wrong.

Considering the outlook for job replacement Im not sure what the best-use of AI is yet. Most of it performs poorly and is overhyped. Its a natural resource hog and inflationary. The technology infrastrucure is obsolete in a few years. Sounds to me more like how computers were supposed to displace paper. It never did. Im sure it has some kernals of goodness but right now its just computer generated porn 😅

Burry is severely overrated . He got one tbing right that was obvious for anyone who was looking who didn’t have a financial interests in it. Even then he almost lost all the money by being way too early .

Vera Rubin Observatory data is a perfect example of somethjng that needs lots of compute. However it does not need ai. The programs one could write are very simple. They just require a lot of computing power for data sets that big.
