I used to work in a chicken processing factory in Australia… it's pretty bad here too, maybe not as bad as the USA, but not at all trustworthy. You want to buy your chicken whole and that's passed through as few hands as possible – if from butcher, ask if they cut it up in-house, if they do not do not buy because it's almost certainly from a big disgusting factory. Don't buy anything flavored/marinated, that covers up the bad smell of the rancid chicken.

Well what’s sad, is the amount of people who eat chicken, pork, beef, fish is so enormous, there would be no way you could supply it….also people especially in USA eat way way more than necessary. It’s one of the reasons, not the only one, but major one we have the obesity problem we have.

First video of yours I found, and I am so excited. You explain why we have been trying to switch to local farms in a very straight forward way. We also have our own layers and looking into pasture raising some meat birds next year. Looking forward to seeing what other videos you have!

I don't really like the "ai powered" analogy because that's a new tech being implemented in a bunch of areas, while "fresh" chicken is just something we've always had and wanted. Plus AI fucking sucks and fresh chicken doesn't 🙂

But, but, but… "These arguments are full of appeals to Nature!" … Yes. Yes, they are. And I'm here for it, y'all!
I'm so tired of the appeals to authority that come from the "follow the science" crowd. As if there were such a thing as the science. Science is how you ask the questions, not about knowing the answers. And when it comes to biology, and health, and nutrition, I think a systems approach based around evolutionary biology and ancestral thinking is the most scientific paradigm to adopt.
I love this channel's perspective. It is evidence based, scientifically minded, and thorough in discussing the details, but doesn't lose sight of the big picture that we've deviated so far from traditional eating and good cultures and our food industry is so far removed from the food production methods of the past that our health crises around food are almost certainly connected to this. We're basically living in a human zoo and animals in captivity unable to live and eat within the context of their evolutionary adaptations is simply ASKING for unintended consequences. And while the specific details around the outcomes might be unpredictable, the fact that those genetic pathways and metabolic feedback systems are likely to respond poorly and break is not.

I'm really hoping RFK Jr does something to force industrial farms to compete with small and traditional farmers. For example limiting industrial crop farmers to no more than half of all arable land, reserving the other half for traditional farming methods.

Animals as Leaders has a song called "CAFO" which is meant to convey the chaos and suffering of CAFO farming.
It makes the song 10x more disturbing after you know this.
