Yeah, the only way that I’m gonna get a switch to or even want one is if they make a switch 2 light because the only reason why I would want one is just to play it in handheld mode

Only problem I have with the switch 2 is corporate greed $399.00 would have been perfect for this system, since it does not have an OLED screen.

The reviews before the release literally said that the switch 2 is ps4 gen 😭😭 why are we comparing to current gen when handhelds were always two or one gen’s behind

They are all just lacking when compared to the steam deck. And I really don't see the attraction to the PlayStation 5. Because the load times and download times all that stuff takes forever. I want to play a game I don't want to wait forever to play a game. And the Nintendo switch is the worst of all of them. Nintendo has not put out a really good gaming platform since the N64. Everything about the Nintendo switch is always just a little lacking when compared to all the other competitors.. Especially when they're charging more for something with less. If I'm going to pay more for something I want more capability not less capability. Buying a Nintendo switch would be like spending a shitload of money to be disappointed. I think Nintendo needs to stop making gaming machines until they figure out how to make a good one.

Focused on the wrong thing! No one buying a switch does it to play cyberpunk or hogwarts on max graphics,
They buy it to play Mario and Zelda games, which is what it’s built for, not to compete with Ps5’s directly lol

i feel like nintendo is equivalent to apple and ps and xbox are windows counterparts not that it is any bad, but really after owning a switch injust realised it's mainly for switch games proof?
see doom 2016 it was a technical marvel in 2017 but for Hogwarts legacy it's too jagged
s2 fixed this but for how many days? by the time ps6 gets released and all aaa games utilises the power of ps6 and new xbox, s2 will again fall behind by other as titles
tldr, ns1 and ns2 are mostly for first party switch nintendo games and other good games that performs well like aaa titles just some but with degradations

lets be honest, the reason why a lot of people constantly buy nintendo products is because pokémon .. i would say 50-60% besides that, nintendo doesnt offer good games.. like cyberpunk for the switch 2…. 😑 its a joke especially charging 70$ for it.

I'm 50 years old , many years ago I played Zelda ocarina of time of time and loved it . Fast forward a few years I thought I'd like to play another Zelda game . I nearly fell off my chair at the price of a Nintendo switch 2! Wow …. What happened? Needless to say I won't be playing another Zelda game. 🙁

Why I like to buy switch series
1. 50% it's a handheld console (a pc is same as a home console)
2. 25% exclusive and tons of games
3. 25% It's a home console (i want to play games on my tv. The only problem with pc is that it's not portable nd it doesn't have gaming special os)

Yeah I did play one at my dads he mainly has Mario kart world so I went on it in handheld battery was okish because it was mkw it was nice but I liked played it before like mk8 and it missing renegade mode battle and shine theft 2 best modes in mk games

Gl getting a ps5 for that price now lol. Never mind you also would need to pay 400$ just to get a monitor close to the switch 2 screen and even then. The switch 2 screen is still vastly more vivid. My brother has a 800$ monitor and looks far duller.

Genuinely the most condescending console review.
The Nintendo has a built in screen and speakers. So dishonest trying to compare it to a PS5 slim. Compare the PS5 pro with a Sony Wii U remote.
PS5 and XBOX controllers have statistically the exact same number of joystick drift issues.
People just use the Nintendo pro controller. That’s not “getting around the joycons” that’s how you play.

What I would say is the comparisons to PS5/Xbox are meaningless for a lot of the gamers that the Switch attracts. Bar this the last time I had a home console was the XBOX 360 so this still feels like a great system for someone like myself

This video is 3 months old now and you probably won't see this comment, but I want to sincerely thank you for this more nuanced review (while being calm and not yelling into a mic like many others).
I bought my Switch 2 yesterday to upgrade from the 2017 Switch 1, after my joy cons, pro controller, and hori split pad pro all started to get joy con drift after 8 years (after intense use) and I am suffering from some initial buyer's remorse.
But your video really helped me out, because it seems our gaming styles seem very similar. I rarely play docked, only when I know I get several hours to sink in, which may happen only twice a month. Most of the time, it is handheld, on the couch, while my wife watches her series.
The bigger screen is a big pro for me as my old eyes are starting to struggle with 7" screens and having that game that I want coming out next month, I have something to look forward too.
So thank you for a more nuanced and solid review!

I completely agree, the price for the switch 2 is absolutely insane. How can it cost more than a console, if it does not provide the same experience graphically, storage wise, in any capacity. I'd love to upgrade from my switch 1 to 2. But I have a hard time convincing myself that it's worth the price of upgrading.

…or playing on any smartphone for with a cheap gamesir adapter and smartphone games, emulation, cloud gaming, etc. Nintendo is a joke. Mario Kart World and Bananza are pure trash. What a waste of money and time.

Why it’s good to be a casual gamer who’s isn’t spoiled or insanely concerned with performance. To put it like this I just picked up a switch lite for casual play while I’m on the move for army related reasons and playing an hour or so of Skyrim, red dead or Bioshock on a handheld device is mind blowing.

I feel like comparing the Switch 2 to a PS5 is very unfair. The Switch 2 is a fraction of the size meant mainly for portable gameplay and party gaming. Yes you can play docked, but at the end of the day you are still playing on a small tablet essentially.
Also, most people aren't getting a Switch 2 for third party games. Its bread and butter are first party games like DK Bananza, Zelda BOTW/TOTK, Metroid Prime 4, and Pokemon ZA.
