Nine Inch Nails are one of my favourite bands. I love them so I cannot be impartial. Today I’m going to talk through my favourite song “Head Like A Hole”. Are you a fan?

The reason I got into NIN was because of the poster for the seven inch single for Head Like a Hole. My mate had it on his wall back in the early 90's and I said 'That's a cool poster, can I have it?' . He said 'No! but you can buy the seven inch single and get it that way'. So I popped into our local record store and bought the single without a thought of what the music would be like. Suffice to say, I loved it and then bought Pretty Hate machine 🙂

Survivalism !!! What a cool punky song.

Trent Reznor was way ahead of time. It took a majority two-three decades toget it.

Saw NIN last week. What a show !!

I have to say that the lurics are sometimes cheesy. Not Survivalism!

I love the dvd from the fragility tour. The drummer he had at the time Jerome Dillon was super awesome. He actually added stuff to the songs on drums live which like what drummer is good enough to be given that freedom. Like the ghosting on the snare during “piggy”. One of my favourite drum performances.

I had a bash at performing “Head Like a Hole” at my local karaoke bar last weekend. They had this new, timid 18 year old barmaid who just so happened to be standing directly in front of me when the chorus kicked in. She was so startled she jumped back whilst giving me a wide-eyed look that just made my entire night… 😂

Good point re hidden tracks on a cd…this was something alot of 90s bands did. Interesting to see Nirvana's hidden tracks on Nevermind and In Utero now fully titled and listed on Amazon and Spotify. Anyways NIN are awesome good video👏

During the the mid-2000s,NIN was the one band that got me as deeply into music as I ever was and never have been again since those times.

However, once I take the time and listen to either With Teeth, The Fragile or Downward Spiral I begin to feel a bit of that excitement that I felt back then.

Always love when folks I respect love NIN. They have such a weirdly dichotomous(is that a word?) reputation where I feel like they're somehow underrated while Trent is one Tony short of an EGOT. Maybe I'm just biased because I love em.

The Novation basstation is still awesome. It sort of replaces the Moog Polysix. By the way, your arm tattoo… the dx7 still has good strings. Nobody talks about the GX1. Jimmy Page paid £70K for it and it had really good patches.
