She worries that one line out of context could ruin her when she jumped on board the rip-on-Gillis train when he was fired from SNL.
Stand ups get a pass or they don’t. They’re trying to make people laugh, not hurt people. If they say something distasteful (even horrible) they should always get the benefit of the doubt.

Guys, I was gifted two budgies from my nephew who thought it would be funny (not funny) and I’ve been looking all over for a bird sanctuary or somewhere I can take them so that they can live their life outside of a cage. I know I can’t release them because they say they won’t survive in the wild. I can’t find anywhere within driving distance near me. I’m in Cleveland, Ohio. Does anyone know of an organization or anything that would take them? And let them live outside of a cage??😢

I love this podcast and I think Nikki is a talented comedian, but her jokes about adoption are just cruel and ignorant. This isn't "controversial" or "edgy", it just isn't true. If this spirit of this is "working it out" I wish she would take some feedback about that. She is telling adopted people that they will never be as loved as a biological child. That is so horrible. This would only be told by someone with no experience with adopted chldren or parents. On behalf of my adopted sister, I say please consider dropping that. I want to say something a lot stronger but I won't.
