I have read Phil’s father’s book “God Is Red”. It is good to hear the Phil Deloria was an advisor to the documentary. He is right to point out that Native lands and the avarice of the colonists had a significant part in the revolution.

The truth: Colonial American vs British Royal Control (tax etc etc we don't like being despised) = get freedom = in the process, under cover of brutal war, destroy the native presence eastern woodlands to open land for colonial settlement. It worked very well. We needed the excuse to do what we did because it will enter the history books. It has to be justifiable, so …

PC BS is what it is. Want to get a good history of the Revolution for starting to learn about the real Revolution, read Robert Middlekauff's THE GLORIOUS CAUSE because you don't get it from this "documentary."

America's twin founding sins–Indian ethnic cleansing and attempted genocide, and slavery. Without either one, there would not be a United States of America. I don't know how we ever get over that, and obviously we haven't really wanted to, or tried, so far.
