New Metal Monday – Awesome New Metal Albums Released This Week

ssttoommppyy ssttoompp!!!!!

Very solid week, I also loved Ola Englund's new one and Carnation

Great reviews as always I'll be checking out soldiers of rage album for sure I like the new Insomnium also you should also check out the new Iapetus album as it's amazing keep up the great work JEFF H TOWN

OOF. Here comes the branding. Please just keep it real. As someone who has been both a musician with a legit history (Bay ARea thrash metal from the 80's…under a different last name), who then decided to go into journalism, and wound up doing things like writing for FANGORIA interviewing artists I grew up oving, and dping massive comicons…journalists who are there to illuminate artists…are not the ones that the spotlight should be shined upon. It's compromising, and leads to what I call SUBlebrity status.

Being the focal point, via someone wearing a shirt of a REVIEWER should not be the mission statement.
Let people who love the channel (of which I am one) make their OWN shirt. Which is how it was done during the era that birthed all this stuff to begin with.

So sick of every god damned thing that gets any attention being monetized. That is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not boots on the ground level, underground style mentality.

Like insomnium netherworlds.

Huge disappointment with the new Insomnium album. Was expecting something more darker and heavier. The album tends to land on the softer side. It feels empty somehow.

This Insomnium album was a major disappointment. Too poppy and too butt rocky. I hope this isnt their Black album

Definitely need a stompy stomp shirt in the merch line

People can win your favourite album of the year

Soldiers of rage is perfect

No such thing as "too much coffee." And I would absolutely drink some from a Heavy Metal Journal coffee mug. Ditto for my whisky if there was a HMJ whisky glass available. 🤘🏻☕🤘🏻🥃

Iapetus The Mother Void is easily my favorite and my AOTY. Insomniums was good, much better than the last.

Mother of Graves and 200 Stab Wounds new releases are my AOTY so far

Insomnium never disappoints imo

You rock and gorgeous. I have seen Castle rat in Charlotte North Carolina and the USA and the live music was amazing 🤘🤘🤘 and rock on Lindsey

Linsay Thanks for new monday

Amulet Iam the dark

Awesome video! 'The mother void' by iapetus is definitely worth checking out. For fans of Ne Obliviscaris and any tech/melodic/progressive metal bands really. Amazing stuff.

Great picks again this week, I was in work on nights when Shores of Null came out around midnight so I was straight on it and it was an absolutely superb album.
Definitely one of my favourites of the last few months.

Iapetus – The Mother Void blew me away this week, as much as Insomnium did. Shores Of Null & Mother Of Graves are really good picks too. You are pretty consistent week to week with what I enjoy as well. I'll have to check out Soldiers Of Rage.

I liked shores of null and new Smashing pumpkins black stars, staind ghosts.

Nice week!
Mother of graves +1 for me.
Thanks!
