I've got The Worm album ready to go, I mean how could I not check it out first, given all the praise it's getting throughout these comments.
Also, I tend to gravitate right twoards guitar-driven metal, so a couple of the others will be next in line. I especially liked what little I heard of the Malific album when I was looking for it and adding it to my library between the different albums on your list.
You always give such praise to the album art in your videos, makes me wish I could still see. I loved good album art from back before I lost my sight a few years ago.
Amongst some of my favorites were albums like: Leviathan by Mastodon
also, any of the many albums that used H.R. Gieger aart, although that is sort of cheating, hah.
almost all the artwork for Baroness albums, all of which are also painted by the band's creator/lead singer/song writer etc.
and one last one before I overstay my welcome, hah, Jane Doe by Converge, also painted by their vocalist, Jacob Bannon. 🎉

Necropalace rules! Great description of it, though I wouldn't say Spectral Voice. Early Dimu and Cradle of Filth, mixed with Hooded Menace and also the swampy death/doom Worm from Foreverglade.

Thanks for another great video and recommendations. You've helped me turn from a dinosaur who didn't listen to anything new to someone with a renewed interest in new metal releases. I try give a proper listen to at least one of these albums each week. Maximum respect for getting through all of these albums every week. It must be so time consuming.

Take care. As an ex-blogger I understand how it can be difficult to come with different adjectives and turn of phrases to describe the music. I think the part were you enjoy the genre and to which band it reminds you certainly help. Maybe reduce this part and mention the songs you liked ?

Worm's album is one of the albums on repeat for me. Along with Winter Enternal's and Saille's albums and also a come-lately , but neverless a great thrash band Rioter and their debut album "Legalized Mind Control".
Side-note, I find your pronunciation of "Worm" charming.

Ive got The Eye Of Purgatory debut The Lighthouse which was pretty solid, I'll have to check out this new one. My favourite this week is Slaughterday -Dread Emperor, a great album and well worth a listen!

Worm is this week's "duh" for me, skipped right past it but for no bad reasons! Malefic was completely new for me, really good spotting there. Eye of Purgatory was a lot of fun, just familiar swedeath but with quality solos and brazen synths… very charming. Unfortunately all the solo projects are not for me… I had a hard time even listening to Thy Catafalque for a long time just for that. Cheers!
