   Hello as a new subscriber I was so pleased to check out these albums. I already have all Von Hertzen Brothers albums but the others were new to me I checked out a great interview on you tube with Jeff Cotton and would recommend it. All the 5 albums you featured were just great and I will buy them all so its 5 out of 5 for the albums and 10 out of 10 for your program best wishes Roger

   Very good, although I must lament the fact that many people in the British Isles are just catching up with Nightwish, Therion, Lacrimosa, Blind Guardian, Within Temptation, Epica, etc., to say nothing of Powerwolf and Rammstein, years late. It's almost as if they were sold a really huge lemon by the late Seventies pro-punk/new wave music press and have yet to eject the remains of said lemon from their posteriors.

   I like these video reviews of music I don’t know, you have good taste for my ears. Children of the sun is new to me and I’m a first listen lover of this. Faeland has some nice moments on both albums. Von Hertson Brothers is also new to my Aussie ears and I really like them on first listen too. Great recommendations again ✅

   Among my favorite 2022 releases would have to be Envy of None, the new quartet featuring Alex Lifeson of Rush and the lovely Maiah Wynne on vocals. Very clever hooks on this one, breathy sultry vocals and minimal but tasteful guitar. Human League-ish. Ms. Wynne is a clever lyricist too, although she's no Neil Peart. Alex delivers a lovely acoustic tribute at the end to the late Professor. Please check it out.

   On a side note, Erika Lewis' Walk Around the Sun is a lovely acoustic country album. Ms. Lewis is the singer for the superb street busking ragtime brass band Tuba Skinny from New Orleans. Her talented co-hort Shay Cohn, who plays cornet for Tuba Skinny, is on fiddle and piano. These melodies are extraordinarily catchy, and I didn't think this genre would suit me but it does.

    Why aren't the Von Herzen Brothers huge!! I don't know what has changed but music being released from acts from Scandinavia and beyond[Greece mainly } is well worth exploring

    So far I've only listened to Children of the Sun. Of the retro rock I've listened to this year, this is the most appealing from start to finish.

    Hi. Just listened to the Faeland recommendation. Sounds a little like Hem who are one of my faves atm. Have you heard Rabbit Songs? Swedish VHS lol 😂
