I can’t believe that Amazon music unlimited haven’t got anything by Viper Soup Complex! Proving it’s far from unlimited. This means I’m gonna have to go out and spend the equivalent of a months subscription to said streaming service and buy a hard copy of the album, starting my cd collection again, that I recently donated to my local record store. 😢

Afternoon Barry. Interesting, will certainly check out your recommendations. What are your thoughts on Nightwish? I know they have been around for a while, but have only got into them recently. I would love to hear your insights into their 'symphonic metal, and maybe a ranking video?

Kevin Jarvis from farpoint is an old dear friend of mine. He spent a whole year recording my bands first album for mere peanuts, while expertly navigating my rockstar wannabe ego, lol! I always expected my music career to shoot to the stratosphere immediately, and now 20 years later I barely pick up a guitar but Kevin slowly and patiently made his way into being able to make a living with music. He’s a smart and interesting guy. Thank you for reviewing his album!

Brilliant! Please do more of these.
I’m always searching for new music, but it’s hard to get to find the new in amongst all the reissues and remixes that are labelled as ‘new’.
    Perhaps a monthly new album/band recommendation/review..?

The two albums that have rocked my world in the past five years are "Pure Comedy" by Father John Misty, and "The Tipping Point" by Tears for Fears. I recommend them both highly.

I stumbled on this channel only a few days ago. I don't know the name of the author of this site, but I love his presentation and analysis. Plus, as an American, I'm a pushover for that marvelous British baritone.

I was a young man in the 70s when Progressive Music was at it's prime, (as was I). It's true that the music you listened to in high school and college becomes the music you go back to throughout your life. My CD collection is full of music from that time period. Glad to the see the flame of Prog Rock is still being tended and cherished here.

Keep up the good work and I'll be looking at the back catalog of videos.

The WRM record sounds very good.

Lots of interesting female vocalists out there now. I would commend to you Alex Lifeson's latest work with Maiah Wynne (Envy of None). Spy House in particular but the whole album is pleasing.

I really like that Farpoint album. It soothing, yet has a real melancholic feel. Thanks for the suggestions!
I need to give Pete Pardo from Sea Of Tranquility a shout-out for bringing Farpoint to my attention/reviewing it recently.

Love the T shirt.Iconic now.As were the great band themselves .The only one I have left I am frightened to wear anymore so thread bare is it.I did buy it circa 1989 ish and its had a life.It should be framed and put on the lounge wall but my wife differs in opinion somewhat sadly on that particular subject bless her…..She equally objects me putting a certain handbuilt motorbike on display in the house.Oh well…..
