Never look down in a duel | Chris & Jack
Pistols drawn at high noon, a classic Old West showdown from many a cowboy movie. But did you know that you won’t actually be shot until you check if you’ve been shot? Not sure if this is just a film trope, or a quirk of quantum mechanics, but it’s definitely true. So if you ever find yourself in a gunfight with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood or somehow in the plot of 3:10 to Yuma, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, or Back to the Future Part 3 , just remember this one trick.

We’re Chris W. Smith and Jack De Sena (aka Chris & Jack). We’ve been friends for years and love making high-quality, high-concept sketch comedy. Chris is an occasional Blue Man in Blue Man Group. As a voice actor, Jack played Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender and Callum in the Dragon Prince. In 2016 we united to create this channel, confusingly titled “Chris & Jack”, which has served as a shared platform to write, produce, direct, edit, and star in our own stuff. We’re releasing comedic sketches of all shapes and sizes. Sci-Fi, Heists, animation, movie tropes, absurdist bits, and plenty of fun new experiments. But above all else, friendship.
A huge thank you to all our Patrons, including our “Producer Tier” friends:

Never look down in a duel. But ALWAYS look down in Youtube comments. You might learn what people’s favorite Western movie is.

absolutely love the idea of "you only die if you set up a movie-cliche' death scene" – it could probably be a banger idea for a custom TTRPG game

This all seems like popular media depictions condensed, but then you learn of people like Bass Reeves and you have to wonder…

Thanks for the sketch <3 This is an interesting concept for a story world. Not specifically the western bit, but the "causality is limited by (lack of) observation bit".

I love this idea of a world where things like getting sliced on the head or having a lit stick of dynamite in your holster doesn't do anything unless you look at it . And western movie tropes are real.
