I love Neal's standup. I'm admittedly late to the party. He's less "cheap jokes" and more that great story teller type of comic. I only have to think of him saying "Tiger, help!" and I bust out laughing. But even more than laughs, he has that Carlin-esque thing where you just like to hear him talk and listen to his mind work.

He's always been SO realistic about his role in Chappelle's Show. He's the white partner of Dave Chappelle, he knew there was no way he would get half the credit. Im not even sure he deserves half credit, Dave was just more necessary forvthe show to work.
Still doesnt get nearly the credit he deserves though. One of the most influential comedians to ever live, and almost no one knows him. White people have it really really hard.

He was no Scottie Pippen. He didn’t perform any of the skits. He was more like a Jerry Krause. He didn’t play @ all. Much like this clown. At least he admitted that Dave was the real star. Kills me how all races & genders attempt to obtain fame & fortune off the backs of African men. Dave Chappelle is my favorite comedian, and I love Neal Brennan and Theo Von so no disrespect, but THEY KNOW they aren't Michael Jordan. They know Dave Chappelle is the G.O.A.T. I agree Neal is Scottie Pippen, and Theo would FOR SURE be Dennis Rodman in this '98 Chicago Bulls analogy. You're still great! You're still in the hall of fame! You will always be remembered for what you add individually to the game as true legends! But nobody comes close to Michael Jordan. Dave is the Michael Jordan of stand up comedy. It's undeniable.
