Oren Lyons (Onondaga) played college lacrosse at Syracuse University, served in the U.S. Army, and eventually became a professor, artist, spiritual leader, and a leading advocate for Native American rights. He’s been inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Native American Hall of Fame, and received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
Lyons, the co-founder of the Iroquois Nationals (now the Haudenosaunee Nationals) will discuss the lacrosse team’s quest to play in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles six years from now.

Oren is a an amazing man , I mean he's in his 90s he looks great and he is strong in his beliefs , I've followed him for some time now and admire his strength and his awareness of the planet, he was right when he said animals should never have been domesticated, he showed racism through early movies for example wizard of oz , he never took a loan out to build his own home he built it from scratch as he refused to owe any bank anything , he's a vegetarian , he was wild in his early days but changed , he speaks calmly without anger , he is a true gentleman and chief , many could learn from him
