Balls aside, what a great little film "Telstar: The Joe Meek Story" is. To anyone with a passing interest in the history of the birth of Rock and Roll in the UK, it's an absolute must watch. The cameos are worth the download alone!

This song is hilarious to me 🤣
MB's live recordings of both "Gethsemane" and "Sunset Boulevard" are 2 of my life songs. They will always have a place on the top shelf of my heart, as well as on every important playlist. Just incredible performances. It makes me so happy to see that Justin is a fan as well. 🥹

Thank you very much for the earworm, very cheerful and life-affirming. I do find myself wondering, though, why it seems that whenever ageing well is mentioned, wine is used as the comparison. Is there really nothing else that ages just as gracefully? 😀

That aside, I would like to say thank you. Until two months ago, I was not familiar with either The Darkness or this channel. Quite by chance, I came across one of your older songs and was instantly captivated. The song was released when I myself was a teenager. My parents listened to rock music, so at the time my way of setting myself apart was to sing Bach and Brahms in the school choir — which meant I missed out on quite a bit. Now, my seven-year-old is listening to AC/DC and makes granny rather proud.
Through this channel, I am discovering a great deal and being introduced to artists I would never have come across otherwise. Above all, however, it is an absolute pleasure to listen to your voice. I only just found out about your concert in my area last autumn, and I very much hope there might be another opportunity to see you live in the future.

Thanks for the earworm, Justin. It's an uplifting earworm, so I'll take it. I hope you don't really mean it when you say you're feeling "hopeless" at age 51, oh ooops, I mean 28. Cheer up! You're still young & got a bunch more decades to go.

I hope things are going well for you, family & the band. Its been quite a year in the states. I stay alert to news and what is going on in the music scene. It appears business are attempting to keep the industry alive. I don't here The Darkness often at all on the radio, & that makes me sad. I don't understand that. You are a great band. Can you provide an inkling to why for me? I'd ne honored to know why. Thank you.

🎶 "Love, love changes everything!" 🎶
    – as a 53 year old "vintage" musical theatre lover and performer, that's the song that made me really fall in love with Michael as a performer and singer! Got to see him sing that song in the original production in London when I was In high school and the theatre dept. Took a trip! I always wondered To him because here in the United States they never talk about him or mention him or anything he might be doing. Thanks Justin for Catching me up with 1 of my old favorite performers!

Was that Michael Ball song created by Ai I?

I really struggle to tell the difference. That's why we need Justin to help us navigate the choppy waters of popular music 🎶 and tell us, what's a hit and what's not 😊

Great episode! Nobody’s getting any younger but that’s not the fucking tragedy it’s made out to be (by morons). Do it Michael Ball style with all the vintage panache you care to have fun with. You are adorable regardless, in your own quirky but charming way. Just have fun dude. That’s the secret to shutting down all the ageist crap in pop culture. A very happy belated birthday to you!

I’ve put this song in rotation purely because the thought of JH doing the “fine red wine” dance is genuinely cracking me up every time.
