Never has a company had a more apt name. Everything they make, think, propose, or research is as boring as reading a phone book. The one thing that is not boring is the psychological study of how supposedly smart investors get slaughtered for being totally incompetent. They hear "Musk" and their brains turn to mush.

Boring machines are old news. The Swiss pioneered them as well as the concept of the “Hyperloop” before Elon was in diapers. The Seattle waterfront tunnel is bigger than anything Musk has built.

"Boring Company Completes Vegas Loop Tunnel to Airport". The trip from the Airport to the Convention Center is 5 minutes, and costs $14 dollars. Not sure where you're getting your information since you posted this shitty AI slop video 4 days ago.

Steve is such a genius that he even sounds just like Leon. How can the world produce TWO such men in ONE generation? Astonishing, simply astonishing. Incidentally, every claim either of them has ever made, has come true.

What people fail to understand is that the reason that Leon's companies do so poorly, is they are inventing completely new industries. Before the Boring Co. There was no such thing as a tunnel. Electric cars didn't exist before Tessler. SpaceX invented rockets and Star Link invented satellites and satellite receivers. Now do you understand why these companies suck so hard? It's the burden of the Pathfinder. Incidentally, Leon invented drug fueled stupidity.

Srly anyone who invested in the boring company, invest in my stupid company. It's boring and stupid. We will do stuff like Elon does but more stupid. Cathy wood approved. It's tremendously stupid. Invest today!

tunnels should be included in the new city design stage so that an extra underground layer is built whenever a new skyscraper is built. it will not happen in a day, but here we are talking about boring for a decade now.. when new city districts are built they should be designed with roads and mass transport underground, while ground level should be parks walkways and community areas.

Musk (PDF) didn't come up with hyperloop, I did. I was 7 when I saw James Bond (1987)The Living Daylights, in that scene Bond smuggles a KGB General across the Iron Curtain from Bratislava into Austria. They put him inside a cylindrical device normally used for cleaning/inspecting gas pipelines, which is launched at high pressure through the Trans-Siberian gas pipeline like a massive drive-thru pneumatic tube. At 7 I thought this was the future of travel, then I grew up.

Has anyone seen how they did the tunnel under the channel? They do that every day here in Europe. Through mountains like everywhere else. Another industry that Felon invented 🤦🏻‍♂️

All that matters in the modern world is applying game theory and the greater fool market principle using ultra-hast, hyper-sophisticated computerized systems. The main trick is to get out before most people catch on, which is easy.
"Step right up! Step right up! Never before seen! You will be amazed!"

That’s because this company isn’t about digging tunnels to deal with traffic he’s using the company to build underground cities. This project was all for show. Didn’t matter if it failed or not

It's hilarious that Musk and his cult followers somehow believed he'd be smarter than companies that have been making this tech for decades and have a vast amount of know-how and real life project experience. There is a reason many of the world leaders for this tech come from central European nations that have been digging tunnels through mountains for literal centuries, but nah, it took one look from some clown that doesn't even have an engineering background related to the subject matter to realise "we can easily 10-15x" this! 🤣😂

You kind of answered part of your own question about the tunnel boring speed, if you go back and watch the order in which you presented information.

If they are tunneling thru dirt instead of hard rock, the difference in speed is not insignificant and would be comparative to drilling wood vs metal. So all along the real challenge has been (and I assume remains) preventing immediate tunnel collapse from the increased speed at which they can bore tunnels in the first place…as compared to boring thru solid rock, not as compared to German tech. The latter of which is world-class and hard for anyone to compete with, really.
