I don’t think it’s going to take our jobs as a musician. Back in the early 1900s the entire music industry was shooken up by a revolutionary new technology called the Piano Roll. And essentially it was a real piano that played itself automatically, you just typed in what you wanted it to play and it would play it. The whole music industry was concerned because it said that it was going to take away the music notation industry because no one would want to buy music notations anymore. However, 100 years later, they still print out physical music books with songs from top Artists. Why? Because there is still a need for that. How old are Vinyls? And yet right now there is a resurgence in Vinyl purchases. I mean right now you can purchase a tool to master your own songs for really cheap, why do some musicians still choose to hire mastering engineers?

I've been a musician for 23 years, I just spent 2 years learning how to record/mix etc and built a home studio. spent a full year dialling in my drum mic setup and room treatment. spent hundreds of hours learning and researching as much as I could, so I can finally record music, my bands songs and do content, been my dream for 15 yrs…as much as AI is flooding society, there will always be ppl like me, you and so on doing it the old way grinding it out. It's one of the biggest and best parts of the journey. It's never just about the end result. I refuse to promote or use AI (to a certain degree), the only way AI should be used is as a helpful tool for e.g. splitting stems, office work flow, seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger singing The friends theme song, everyday ease of use to help society not hinder, there are plenty. It shouldn't be putting people out of work, becoming creatively competitive with human creators, replacing humans, depleting our resources (water, electricity, housing, infrastructure) etc etc. We rely to much on tech to run aspects of our lives, I get its needed for certain things, but somethings should just be there as a helpful tool or guide, not be put in the metaphorical "drivers seat". Let's face it though if humans stop creating, AI cant learn and add more to the already crumbling music industry. AI relies on humans in order for it to pump out what it does. Ultimately the ball is in the consumers court, and we all know how that old dance goes… whoops longer whinging comment then I thought it would be ha.

Another way to look at it is in today's economy, what about people who cannot afford to produce music themselves. You can write your own lyrics for free but you won't get anywhere just recording off of a cell phone. With additional costs of buying and maintaining instruments, speakers, Mic's, recording hardware and software, studio fees. I think the ethical thing to do is to disclose to listeners when it's being used for their own discretion. Also honestly if production labels start using AI would that make them any worse than they already are? Low level artists that sign make little to nothing and for content creators playing any music ( or even you covering a song ) will land you a copyright strike. Creating music yourself is always better, but some people might not have that opportunity and as long as the use of AI is disclosed in the content, than it's a platform that can be used to make quality sounding music once you learn the prompts.
Edit: it's not as easy to use SUNO unless you write your own lyrics and use specific style prompts as well. Then you will still need to go through multiple edits, generating a new song with a different sound each time. The AI used in SUNO has a tough time fully understanding what your asking. The lyrics SUNO generates is Garbage 99.98% of the time even with the newest version of the AI

I uploaded an original song – vocal and guitar – into SUNO.
AI maintained my lyrics, melody and essential chord progression with full orchestration in the genre I chose.
It can be used to do a decent demo, rather than paying for expensive studio time.
And I believe it can now be copyrighted due to the majority of the essential song being human created.
Fully prompted works cannot according to the US Copyright Office. And they will have ways to distinguish the difference.
AI can't totally replace human creativity, but its troubling that the masses no longer know the difference streaming today.
Guess, we can thank things like auto tuned vocals that first digitized human vocals so much that most sound the same to me.

genAI LLM owners want to convince everyone that they can and will be easily replaced, so they need to give up and stop trying. Just be a consumer and pay (how, if they don't jobs? Tiny details)

Please don't believe those lies. Joy is worth pursuing, even if you are still learning. Hobbies bring joy.

(…bonus track, it will help you when an obligatory genAI paywall arrives)

It's bad, it's really bad, generative ai is essentially gonna kill creativity because its gonna kill the motivation and passion for it if everyone is okay with ai art (picture this, everyone will be able to make masterpieces without working on them, that makes them hollow because they will have no meaning or influence on the """artist""", they'll just be another product), and it will also kill the possibility of living off the biggest dreams everyone has, which are art. And it's all because people are allowing it, I'm deep into 3D art and now into music, 3D is already dying, please don't let the same happen to music

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

As a fellow musician, I absolutely care about this subject. Even if it sounds amazing, or perfect, it isn't. To me, the imperfections we as humans can have adds to the perfection of the music imo, what gives each of us our uniqueness. If it's not from a human, there's no heart and soul behind it.

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

The main problem with wholly AI generated music is that it sounds like generic slop. Very applicable to advertising, soundtracks and muzak style tunes as ambience in public/retail spaces, but unlikely to engage actual music fans.

NO, CELEBRITIES will be obsolete in under a decade though and that's the best thing that can happen to humanity at this point. I won't digress into my life story, but I know literally dozens of A-list celebrities, all sorts of really twisted things about how they're actually getting famous on the casting couch and yes, it's literally 70-80% of the most famous A-listers on Earth.

I've known Britney Spears since she was 13, I was 17 and to say she destroyed my life is putting it mildly. The cunt belongs in prison. Super computers and A.I. are certain to let people upload their own photo or 3-D scan, tell it to make a movie of themselves doing whatever, and that will wipe out fame along with completely fictitious people.

Musicians, on the other hand, will have to adapt, play live, engage with people face to face, but we'll still be able to thrive and possible better than ever. Comedians too.

  10. @Fahad-21

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Honestly instrumental stuff is very hard to tell it's AI. Vocals yeah, it's heavily processed. You will never hear unprocessed vocals that is not from AI. There is always a little tell. It just varies. But making incredible instrumentals effortlessly, makes me wonder if it's worth learning to play and love playing instruments anymore

  11. @sandsstandsmans6624

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

It's probably gonna be like autotune, will give an edge to those who use it but will also be controversial if it comes to light, then eventually no one will care and it'll be somewhat standard use for high level and mediocre musicians alike. I don't think pure ai bands will take off though, not in the same way humans do. Worse case senario everyone just listens to ai and ignores real musicians then imma just off myself because thats the only thing I really want to do for a living.

  12. @booglog

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Human made music will always be better and being able to play an instrument at a high level is always going to be impressive no matter what. AI like with most industries is probably going to worse music overall because we're just gonna get copy/paste type content.

  13. @gergoretvari6373

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Anyone who says they like to listen to AI music (and advocate for it) should get their right to listen to actual human music revoked. They don't shouldn't get the right to listen to both. Not to mention even if they want AI music to be a more bigger thing they can't steal from the artists. It's literal plagiarism. What's next? AI making videogames? movies? Videos? News? Do anyone really want to destroy these mediums as well? Should actors and programmers or anyone be replaced by robots and demolish every human aspect within these mediums? Who and why would anyone want to live in a world like that?

  14. @voluptemsanguinisofficial

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

    This is just sad.
AI should be the one that is cancelled, unless it's only as a tool. It's ruining everyone's lives and careers!
It doesn't sound satisfying when you know that it's not made from a human being; it takes away the whole value of music because, as Farvann once said, it shows that you obviously don't understand the fundamentals of art.

You can't be proud of yourself or pat yourself on the back if AI makes songs for you! It's cheating, period

  15. @Sass2000Cass

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Never. That’s what the elite want us to think. It’s a pretty rare day that I’m not singing or playing viola or another instrument and I compose. I won’t stop. It’s who I am.

  16. @Metalman38

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Honestly, it’s nothing new. Think about EDM artists They get up there and rock with pads. No guitarist, no drummer. Sometimes no singer. Just a guy pushing a whole bunch of pads, turning some knobs, and dancing like an idiot.

  17. @Metalman38

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

To be fair, you can still put in a lot of work when it comes to Suno. I mean the PC version let you edit it quite a bit. Plus, depending on how intricate you make your props and how many different words you put into it, it will spit out a totally different song for instance I don’t know a lot of the intricate language that musicians use, so when I make a song on Suno, I probably use the maximum of like 20 words to describe how the song should sound, but I know some songs that come out absolutely professional quality that are comprised of like three times as many words as I use. And it really shows when you listen to the songs.

  18. @monaunknown4648

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

just… no. if you wanna bring content AI is surely a game changer but if you wanna do art, AI can give you inspiration at best. like you said: there are thousands of songs you make sound like sleep token but you wont get something like a sleep token 2, if you know what i mean

  19. @Tanguy_Pepiot

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

    I strongly disagree!
People who can write true original music with soul and real feelings will always do better than AI in that domain!
AI will be used as a tool just like we use DAWs now, but we still need Real Human artists to create amazing songs that touch people!
Thank you for the video though 🙂

So what I'd say as a metal-head with ADHD…I'm always looking for unique sounding musicians to listen to whenever I hear something derivative it just sounds like "more of the same" it doesn't give me that dopamine hit that I'm looking for. I like when people have unique voices and unique sounds or they add their own twist to it. (speaking of twist – Korn's scat growls is very unique but if I hear another band that sounds like korn doing it, its just lame to me) So since AI music is so derivative from stuff that has already been its just boring to me.
Secondly I'd say I care more about the artist's vision and skill than the music as a consumable product. I'm not impressed by a prompt, but I'm impressed with Tosin Abasi's thumping technique or Tim Henson's everything he does on guitar. I'm impressed with Jinjer's vocalist Tatiana's ability to do amazing vocals switching between growling and clean singing with passion. You can hear the passion in the voices.
It's like there's 1 From Software and they make they're the masters of their craft and genre. You get copy cats once in a while, you can get a hit like Lies of P. But you can't play a souls-like without thinking…man…the originals did it better.
And yeah there are people out there that eat up all kinds of slop, whether its human or not. But I'd also argue that these people have been around forever since Auto-tune has been a thing. People will eat their McDonalds…But there's always an audience for authenticity and passion (Michelin star restaurants)

As someone without the capability of creating my own music, I have been on the side of ai music because of the ease of entry. I enjoy making the music for fun, but I have also been using it to create higher vibe music (which we need). I know a lot of people think it's a bad idea, but I thought it was just about the copyright issues. I definitely think they need to find a way to allow the ai to take inspiration but not outright copy anyone else. I had not thought about the record labels themselves using Suno. But I still think it's better to have it since this way no one is bared from creating. Anyone can still create music and promote themselves freelance (such as on youtube or soundcloud). And if the technology improves then it will make it easier to promote music such as my high vibe music which a record label would not want. But I still stand for real people creating music. That is obviously the best, and I thank everyone with the talent to do that. I would love to create the music myself but my singing is not very good and I do not have the time to devote to learning how to do electronic music creation. I wouldn't even be able to pay anyone to create the music for me. This is the high vibe album my sister and I created for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q7zTsLgkQw&list=RD2Q7zTsLgkQw&start_radio=1

Thanks for the report. Very good questions. Yes, AI learns music quickly and has been doing so for over 25 years.

Yes, from Tonica Fugata in Germany.

Yes, concerts by musicians and bands are expensive for attendees and fans. Yes, production is expensive.

You can't replace live musicians and artists who play in operas or orchestras.

How do DJs mix music? They make money, a lot of money, with music. And…? Musicians simply have to be better. Play better. Practice.

Here is a great example of what i created for my vision ive been always wanted to do but ended up quitting playing music in bands because i just got tired of playing everyone elses music and told im nothing but a tool and dont know anything even though ive done the work on not only learning my instrument but also composing, structuring etc… NOW thanks to AI i am finally able to bring my vision to life and here is my solo project called scars like these youtube.com/channel/UC7VNrai_fOhhb4VtqAUloRw

I think we'll see a huge shift from the songwriting itself- more so to the live music aspect with gear, smoke, effects, lasers, and crowd aspects that can't as easily be replicated with AI. We might go see music written by AI, but performed and done with stage spectacle.

  25. @VadimRommer

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

Musicians will never be obsolete for the following reasons:

Musicianship is for the doer. Being a musician brings a unique set of personal benefits — creative expression, emotional release, mastery of skill, and even a meditative state of flow. People will continue to seek these benefits for themselves, regardless of whether anyone listens or whether machines can generate perfect music.

People want to listen to people. No matter how impressive a computer’s musicianship is, most listeners will prefer music made by humans. Especially for adolescents, music is not just sound — it’s identity, inspiration, and connection. They need heroes, role models, and authentic stories behind the music. Computers are not that. If predictions about AI’s rapid advance prove true, AI will also become a target of skepticism and even boycott in certain artistic spaces. AI can be a collaborator and idea generator, but the arts will always be the heartbeat of humanity.

Live performance cannot be replicated. The shared energy of a live audience, the subtle imperfections, and the emotional interplay between performer and listener create an irreplaceable human experience.

Cultural storytelling is human. Music often carries history, cultural identity, and lived experience. A machine can mimic the style, but it cannot live the story it’s telling.

Music is about connection, not just consumption. People seek music as a means to bond — dancing together, singing in groups, creating communal memories. This human-to-human connection transcends technical perfection.

  26. @ankedevyver9749

    September 14, 2026 at 7:19 pm

I think people consider the best or most impressive AI the one that is most 'human'. The fact that these AI's creating art are popping up everywhere means, in some weird contradictory way, that this is something that people consider inherently human (and would in that sense be something AI always fails at in some way). This is what human beings inherently do and want to do. In an ideal world people would have AI do all the other stuff so they could fill their days with what is most fulfilling, which for a bunch of people will be making art.

Ask yourself: would it feel truly fulfilling to write music this way? Or will people using AI always feel a little bit like using a cheat code? In a world where everyone is constantly competing for recognition, people lose sight of the fact that they want to produce art themselves, that that is what brings real fulfillment.

On the consumer side, it is different, and people can very well like AI generated music. I don't think there's necessarily something wrong with that, but you have to be aware that you step out the social phenomenon that art in fact is, and into isolation. (this taps in very well then with the question whether you can be social with and AI, e.g. that a friendship with and AI chatbot is possible etc)

So I do think you're cheating when using AI to make music – but you are cheating yourself and will remain unfulfilled. You are not when you consume it, but there's a weird sociological trend there

Gotta say well said and Totaly understand what your saying ,,,,1 Point id like to add was in a band for over 10 years had tons of fun and we all kinda split after some time i kinda started to do my own thing and i just headed ibnto my daw and recorded my own track using midi drum and so on and on and I think thats how this Ai started especiallyt when Looping become on board with Single Musicians ,,,Ya Most of the music is artificial now but There has to be at least a musician behind it creating in a way for them especially if they are a 1 man band ,,Cheers

Ai corporations are basically criminal corporations sponsored by the same people who own the governments. The Big Tech cartel. Otherwise they could never exist. Because they use copyrighted material without asking for a license. Copyright infringement on a massive scale, which penalties are so high that impossible to pay. A machine does not get inspired what it does is incorporate elements of copyrighted works into their database and use them illegally. Actually there is a deceiving propaganda that says that Ai observe and learn. Well Generative Ai is getting every pixel exact color code from every picture they scrap, same with audio and text that is not observation, that is making a copy. People is under hypnosis by the propaganda so they say nonsenses like Ai is a living being or even a god. But it is just a software. Now is the big question no one seems to ask to themselves. Since Ai fed its database with everything created by humans in a time where Ai didn't exists. Tell me what is going to feed Ai when no one can keep creating because they are not generating revenue? Well I give you the answer. Ai is not sustainable over time because it kills it's own resources which is human creativity.
