Well, the only way to avoid criticism is to improve your skills and be the best you can. And sometimes, most of the times, it’s not still enough. But i think that’s how the world goes. Vince didn’t even try to improve his skills, i think. Alcohol, drugs and bad food don’t help either.

I feel kinda bad for him. The guys in the band have not been good friends to him when it would have mattered. Most interviews or shows Ive seen since the 90's he seems to try hard to be cool to everyone. He seems quiet, depressed, sad, and lonley. These guys brought us a lot of fun in our youth. Its hard to see so many not doing so well now. All those years of alcoholism & drugs are catching up.

Umm, Vince? When you're in the entertainment industry, you actually do need criticism. That's how you grow as an artist. What matters is how the criticism is delivered.

Vince didn't like criticism because he new he wasn't Jeoff Tate and was totally aware of that. His sound and style was rare to him and the band just like the dude from RATT it just worked for them.

I saw motley Crue live in the 80s with some friends. He couldn't sing then. It didn't really matter because it was more about image than music. I never understood hair metal until someone explained it like this: girls loved the guys and guys went to be where the girls were. It was a big party and no one gave two shits about the music. Now old folks are doing the nostalgia thing. Finally hair metal in a nutshell.

Do all the hate. The 1st Crue record I got was Shout. I was 12. In tye beginning was cool. Then Shout, and it sounded like I thought my band could sound. Then Vince screams Shout at the Devil. My 12 y/o mind was blown and I still get excited hearing that record. Too Fast and Shout, two perfect punk pop, and pop metal records. Mick is the secret ingredient and Nikki is 1 hell of a songwriter. Vince isn't Dio, nor should he be. Together they were the perfect storm until Appétite dropped. Then I had that same feeling

Everyone always bad mouth Vince but in all honesty how can you expect a guy to still sing and look the same after 30 + years. I dont care if I have to sing when they come in concert i do that anyways. Be Grateful they still tour and if you have nothing nice to say about Vince then dont say nothing at all. Motley 4 life. Screw the haters.

Motley producers deserve a lot of credit for making Vince sound professional in the studio, otherwise it would be nothing but drunken karaoke like at the live events. Vince has obviously had too many yes men around him and not enough criticism because he sounds like he's not even trying.

Just saw The Stadium Tour gig in NYC. Joan Jett, best band in the business. Poison we're really, really good. Great sound, volume, fun vibe. Crue were terrible. Muddy sound, Vince was embarrassing. Left during Leppard. I like them, but again, way too loud, terrible mix but not as bad as Crue. I love it loud, yes I do, but what are these bands thinking? There's kids with their parents in the audience, and it isn't 1985 anymore. Kiss did it right, loud enough to bang your head, you could understand the music.

Yes you do if it's constructive. Vince, take care of your body and voice. you can't shortchange your fans. they deserve your best. I know he's been through alot, but it's been a long time since Razzle and his daughter. Get some help and move on with your life if you are going to continue to live it.
