A few moments from a rendezvous site on a serene, idyllic summer evening. We suggest turning up your volume not only to hear the wolves but the other iconic sounds of the Northwoods in summerβin particular, the hermit thrushes.

If you are some creature that will end up on the menu, those boulders wouldn't be a good place to cross. Out in the open, no cover and an obvious carnivore meeting spot.

The University of California Davis published a study May 2025 that found 72% of Wolf scat was Cattle remains. Wolves prefer Cattle, Goats and Sheep because they are half as fast as wildlife.

Late last summer.
Those big feet are pups last fall. This year's are tiny, still perhaps in den.

Health of the environment depends on native wildlife.
If space to be taken away, then we can share. At least, understand they do not mean to harm us.

Huh! My cat heard the howl and literally jumped straight up!
He's never even heard a wolf. It must be an instinctual thing.
