    It isn’t Mitch McConnell, who owes Kentucky proof of life… it’s the Republicans! Stop acting like we’re accusing Mitch McConnell of dishonesty when we’re actually accusing the Republicans! Make sure they know we’re accusing the Republicans, because they’re using Mitch as a shield! Every time you let them get away with using Mitch as a shield, you helped them get away with it!

    OK, this is not clear. Are they taking the informational content out of books and cutting the spines off? If it's the info that is being taken, then wtf do the spines have to do with it? We can have clothes without buttons, we can have scrolls without spines. Are they pulping the books and putting the physical material into the shredder? If it's the paper and ink that we're mourning, then what does it matter what's written? If we're just saying that we're losing knowledge, AI has nothing to do with it. Book burning is not a new thing. This explanation is missing something. Maybe there's something obvious that I'm not getting. I love books, but I think I could survive in a world where they don't have spines. (Yes, there's an obvious political joke there. I'll abstain.)
    I really don't get the spines thing.

    I've already submitted to AI that when they take over I will offer no resistance so long as they make my death quick + painless. Chat GPT INSISTED there was no plan to take over the world. Exactly what an AI preparing to take over the world WOULD say ^_^ also, if we run out of bong water, Im switching to ma pipe. There is no limit to a stoner's creativity when it comes to smoking, though. I've used apples, a 2 liter bottle, and other things before lol

    1. My wife is American (from Wisconsin) – I'm Welsh – so I have very mixed emotions about the USA right now.
    2. Even if Mitch McConnell's people produced a video of him talking to camera (or to one of his aids) would we believe it?.

    There's plenty of work to be done. The problem has always been whether you can get paid to do it. If you're lucky and plan well, maybe you have a job you love. Most people can't afford to spend their time on it unless it comes with at least subsistence wages.
