I love the idea of using the money you do have at Christmas to take your kids to do something fun on or around Christmas time. Especially if you can turn it into something your family does every year! Kids love traditions and will remember them forever! Make memories!!!

Another budget Christmas idea is to embrace celebrating Three Kings Day, AKA Little Christmas. A lot of things go on deep discount right after Christmas, so a limited budget can go further. It's also special and exciting to have another day to anticipate after the 25th. My thrifty Mom always made sure we did something nice and had a little gift.
I now live in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood, and they have a full-on parade with costumes and live camels.

The story that Melania read to those children has an incongruent storyline. She first talks about not leaving milk and cookies, but leaving vegetables for Santa and then at the end, she says that Santa eats the cookies and milk and leaves. That’s just bad storyline I can’t believe nobody caught it.
