Yo I’m gonna be real honest right now, but this just changed my life. For real. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be laughing at her, but she’s so sincere, and loving, and gentle, and the rats make her so happy, and she’s lovely, and seems totally comfortable with who she is. And at first I judged her, but then I realized how much I’d kill to be more like her. I’m no longer going to think something or somebody is weird, because maybe I’m weird for not being able to understand it or them on a deeper level. But now, I wanna go deeper. Fr I’m a better person right now.

I grew up owning pet rats. I loved them so much, I had multiple pairs over many years. But I just realized I just couldn't take the "end" anymore. They're so intelligent, so smart and how much they love you and groom you as you are part of their pack. They're practically as smart as dogs. But they only live for 2, maybe 3 years. The pain I felt every single time when they start to get old, get diseases and eventually die is something that still cuts too deeply.
In a way, I want science not to increase the lifespan of humans, we already live too long, but for our pets. Rats especially. They learn so much and have such personalities, but then they burn out so quickly.

Hey if you're ever near northern RI and wanna interview someone about snakes hit me up. I have 3 snakes. Which is the same number as there were rats in this video. I'll probably get a fourth snake at some point though so if you're interested you should hurry before that happens.

trent is a great host/interviewer, i think would be cool if he make diferent formats of interview in the future, like interviewing the tallest person in the world or like interviewing a child about legos

i like the idea of owning rats, hamsters and mice more than dogs and cats. idk it just makes more sense to me. specially living in an apartment. if i was leaving in a countryside i wouldn't mind a dog.

This was so nice.
I'm not especially into rats, but I understand the appeal. Either way, this was such a comfy video. Very relaxing, just when I needed it. Trent has such a natural talent for calming uploads.

I love rats! I don't think I'd ever have them now as pets but my sister had a few when I was a kid and they were so cute and smart. She once bought a bald rat and I had never seen anything like that before, at one point it ran up my sleeve and I had to try so hard not to freak out 😭 But they were great little guys that's for sure.

Hamsters also have very unique personalities, but it may take time to pick up on it. Just different behavior patterns that become obvious later on.

I mean to be fair she even said herself that they're all kinda similar in a way. They sound cool, consistency can be cool! I love cats but some of them can be difficult.

Rats are the cooliest. I feel like them being prey animals can make them a little timid with strangers at first though. Give them a second chance
