Sam, please get this guy out of your channel. He doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. What is he looking for? Black metal that’s made in outer space by aliens with something weird and new that nobody’s ever heard before. Black metal is black metal. A black metal record is supposed to sound like black metal. This new Mayhem record is amazing. I will never forgive this guy for dissing Cannibal Corpse in the death metal episode where he was featured in.

I likte it. It spooky mayhem in text thems again. It fun lisening to a record about horror lise after death, death is no salvation the only redamtion is not to exist. Death is worship, desth is fear.

Unpopular opinion here. We as metalheads should end with the cult status of this band. The sad story of a young man that took his on life, the inhuman behavior of Euronymous upon his death and I won't even start with the embodiement of a piece of shit that is Varg. Their teenage edgyness, literal crimes and unapologetic behavior should not be praised, it should be reflected on the stupid shit we end up supporting just to pretend to be the most extreme music ever. This is not an attempt to "cancel" them in 2026 but actually who the fuck cares about Mayhem in 2026?!?!

I saw them yesterday in Utrecht with Immolation and Marduk. To be honest, I was more interested in the first two, as I was really looking forward to the mosh with Marduk. So that I can't recall the first songs they played too well, I was just fucking drunk, high and tired as fuck, but I think to recall that it was good. After that, they changed to the old repertoire and the pit went open again (yeah, I was scratching my head about moshing to Mayhem, but it kinda worked).

This album is definitely better than Daemon… but has the same issues in the sense that you can get lost and there’s not a lot of wow moments. But then again… it’s Mayhem and it’s exactly what I expected. 🤘

Look, Mayhem isnt ultimate black metal band. Theyre not even an incredible black metal band, but Daemon was a good bm album and this was a good follow up. Wasnt mind blowing, but it did the job
