Wait…V important question, when, if ever, did gas stations have fax machines?! Like even back in the 90s, especially the 90s, gas stations were the suburban go to for sending a fax 🤯 ?! Figured they were considered rather fancy proprietary office products where you needed a special jack for it, why on earth would a gas station have a fax machine…?

The press for this movie seems like it's been everywhere but I can't find any theaters showing it, even though it was supposed to get a wide release 2 days ago. What's going on Conan?!

Mary is cool. This is the first time I'm actually seeing her in an interview. Love her entire vibe. More of that gentlewoman, please.
Can't wait for the release of that flick here in Europe. And I have no doubt that Conan aced his part 💪💪💪🧡

Was at BU film same time as the Safdies. Got to know of Mary first when Prof Ray Carney put her movie Yeast in a program of recent American Independent film. Mary and Safdies are connected by husband Ronnie, projectionist at Film Linc. Yeast is great.

why so actors make it seem like its hard to act? like your laying concrete or roofing in winter or something? youre playing make believe reciting a script thats been given to you … its not that serious…

Absolutely thrilled to see the buzz around this film. Hoping it gets a release in Poland soon. Mary Bronstein is a new discovery for me, but any director who loves John Waters and gets the Safdie co-sign is automatically on my must-watch list.

It's great to see another entry in the vital subgenre of "women going crazy" films made by women, standing alongside giants like Wanda, Jeanne Dielman, and Sweetie. That's a hell of a legacy to join.

I know her husband's work well. Frownland is a masterpiece of what I call "Weaponized Awkwardness". If this new film has even an ounce of that same raw, antagonistic energy, it's going to be a classic.

I've had a podcast for the past 12 years and once you learn that actors are accessible it truly is a magical feeling.

… got transported with Inception … 2025 story recall … date challenged , out of the Florida keys rental with an alone moment from a dark movie room to walking into the warm pool afterwards … great chat 😊 …

The comments section needs to stop dragging past guests.
Move on, people, it’s a comedy podcast, not the UN.
Burr stays in the burr episode. Thank you.

I like Mary Bronstein. First time I've heard of or seen her. She's got such amazing humility and clarity of thought. I wish I could be more like that
