Woody Allen is such a weirdo creep that could only exist because Hollywood allows it

0:17 ok this needs a bit of NYC context: Zabars is a famous Jewish supermarket that has everything a Jew could ask for and even sell bundle baskets online for the Jewish holidays.
The joke lies in the fact that the last person you’d expect to see at Zabars is someone dressed in African garb and clearly not Jewish.
It’s a good nod to New York Jewish culture and also emphasizes how self centered and arrogant a lot of the characters perspectives are that are central to the movie

Better Off Dead and Real Genius are my favorite corny 80s movies, but they may be too funny themselves to comment on. It could be a challenge
Bonus: Better Off Dead has that guy who creeped on Nickelodeon kids

As a Sicilian, I just gotta say that while Wallace Sean is an amazing actor, he is in no way Sicilian.

I want to see your take on Men at Work with Charlie Sheen & Emilio Estevez. Definitely a staple of my childhood that holds up like a pair of rubber suspenders.

I joined your patreon, and i was thinking that a patch of the "this aged great" text logo might be something people would enjoy at $10 or $15?
Just saw a short about Victor/Victoria, and immediately thought that film was made for your podcast and just about nothing else ever 😂😂😂😂😂

I have a suggestion for a movie. I never watched it back when it was new, but watched it as I was older and almost instantly the it became weird.
I'm speaking about Bicentennial Man.
Very very weird when you sit and think about what happened in the movie.

The film where Woody cast 16 year old Muriel Hemingway as his sexual partner, and made sure it was said in the dialog that her character is 17, because thats the legal age of consent in New York State.

Many people misunderstand this movie. It's not about condoning Isaac's relationship with a seventeen-year-old Tracy; instead, it's critical of it. Isaac and Mary, Diane Keaton's character, are New York intellectual elitists who use their sophistication to justify their selfishness and cynicism. They have an affair, and Tracy is the victim, but because she is so young, her feelings are invalidated.
