Billionaire weddings are a beautiful celebration of love, commitment, and making the entire city of Venice deal with your nonsense.
Today we’re looking at some of the most absurd luxury weddings I could find: Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez shutting down Venice for a reported $50 million extravaganza, David and Victoria Beckham getting married in a castle while dressed like royal grape soda, a billion-dollar oligarch wedding with celebrity performances, and the kind of wedding cakes that seem less edible than legally concerning. The richer the people, the stranger the details get.
There are private jets, purple thrones, giant rotating cakes, yacht foam parties, and at least one wedding where the correct response is not “aww” but “what on earth is happening here.” If you’ve ever been to a normal wedding and thought “this centerpiece is a bit much,” this should help recalibrate your standards immediately.

I found out that weddings in India are quite expensive. Even common people spend a lot. And there's Ambani that apparently spent over 1 billion USD on Marriage and had multiple receptions all equally expensive.

The cake is likely styrofoam. Big fancy cakes like that are more for looks. They'll have a real layer, then the rest is styrofoam with decorations on top. The cake is out for photos, they couple cuts the real cake, it's taken to the back, and normal sheet cakes are cut and taken out to the guests. It's faster and easier to do that way

Went to a distant family member’s wedding a couple years ago. It was very pretty but it screamed “we spent a LOT of money, which we complain about not having enough of”. Later on at the reception, we were shocked to learn that they had taken out a bank loan for spent nearly $50,000!

i absolutely despise this type of thing and i hate every single person that partakes or wishes to partake in something like this. how can you spend a billion dollars on shit like this when … there is literally EVERYTHING ELSE you could do with that money? build a fucking network of hospitals instead ffs.
this is why i never want to be a billionaire. millionaire is my stop. at billions everything becomes idiotic, wasteful and insulting to everyone else, and the money becomes a burden.
i guess i could fund a goddamn scientific base on the moon with the money. that's probably what i would do if i accidentally became a billionaire.
